Kim, NC

Are there any plans to write Lindsay's' Aplastic Anemia into the show?

From James:

Your guess is as good as mine!

Melinda, NY

Are you ever going to make an appearance on the show? That would be very cool!

From James:

That would be pretty cool, actually. Like an Alfred Hitchcock cameo, only taller, and in color!

Dee, MD

Will Lindsay finally move on now that her Ex is getting married or will the chemistry between them continue to tease us?

From James:

It wouldn’t be a “thriller” if there wasn’t some love-life drama every now and then, right?

Marcy, NC

Are there any actors that you would like to see in your upcoming film and TV projects?

From James:

You know, I always have some ideas, especially when it comes to characters like Alex Cross, Maximum Ride, and Lindsay Boxer. But, I never really have anyone specific in mind – there are some great actors out there; several whom I’d be thrilled to see embody my characters.

Jane, MI

Do you have anything in common with any of the characters in Women's Murder Club?

From James:

Well, you know, Lindsay and I are both sharpshooters (ha). I think my female characters share traits in common with the women in my real life. I grew up in a house full of women and I learned a lot about how women think, and how they work together (way better than men do, by the way) to solve problems or just get things done.

Melanie, VT

What are some of your favorite books?

From James:

Oh, you know, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky…I only read the classics. Just kidding. I read just about everything, actually. Fiction, nonfiction, contemporary works, and classics. Some of my favorites include One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and The Day of the Jackal by Frederick Forsyth.

Tammy, UT

How did you find the perfect Lindsay? She is just how I have pictured her in my mind as I've read the books. A+ choice.

From James:

I think Angie gets an A+ too. She’s funny, cool, smart, personable, good with a gun… everything that Lindsay is and maybe even more!

Joan, SC

I was wondering if you have any new wonderful characters coming up in the future?

From James:

In fact, I do. Be on the lookout in July for a really fun new series I’m writing called THE DANGEROUS DAYS OF DANIEL X. Daniel is, of all things, a 15 year-old Alien Hunter. Yep, you read that right! And, next spring the next book in my Michael Bennett series comes out. If you haven’t heard about Bennett, he’s a New York City detective AND the father of ten, count ‘em, TEN, kids.

Kristine, NH

How is having your books adapted to film different than adapting them to TV?

From James:

Well, for one thing, the TV adaptation happened MUCH faster than any of the film adaptations. There should be some news coming soon from Hollywood about a movie based on my Maximum Ride series – but production probably won’t start on that for a while yet.

Caroline, FL

Are you coming out with anything after 7th heaven?

From James:

I have six new books this year that follow 7th HEAVEN – one of them is even nonfiction. But, if you’re talking about the Women’s Murder Club series, the next one, THE 8TH CONFESSION, will be in out in Spring 2009.
