LOST: New Transmissions

The countdown has begun...

Thursday. 9/8c. How excited are you all on a ratings of 1 to 108?

Greetings, island-lovers. I'm sure you'll all be celebrating Lost's return in your own special ways. Team Lost Magazine will be re-watching the final three episodes of season three beforehand to make the evening last that little bit longer.

Thanks to all of your messages and comments so far! To the UK fans of the mag, just to say that the mag is now imported into the UK rather than there being a separate print made – so hope that clears up any size/format/timings questions some of you had.

So, how are we celebrating season 4 in the mag itself? Well, February 12 – just a couple weeks after the new season begins – will see issue #15 arrive on your shores. I previewed some of its content in my first blog, and can now can reveal the following in this one:

• Those intriguing MISSING PIECES webisodes come under scrutiny, including a look at their fantastic original scripts!

• How did Lost fake Thailand? Our new BEYOND THE ISLAND  zone will reveal all...

• Fans of the dark? Take a guided tour of the Black Rock's interiors sets used for The Brig, with an exclusive commentary by season three Set Designer Zack Grobler.

I’ll tease -out some more  details of issue #15's 100-page Lost-a-thon very soon, so come back soon!

NEW: Official LOST MAGAZINE Blog

 

Merry New Year, fellow followers of the island! Your Lost Mag Editor, Paul here. I am a little late for such salutations, I know, but hey – I can’t not start a brand new regular Lost blog in the first month of a new year without saying that can I? Hope you all had a fantastic

Holiday

and are well rested for a certain date of January 31.... believe you me, it is going to be an exhausting and exhilarating season premiere! Thought you knew the direction Lost was taking? Think AGAIN, folks! Let’s just say, don’t plan on getting much done on Friday February 1 – be it by the watercooler, kitchen sink, photocopier, basketball court, bar stool, whatever/wherever – you are going to be discussing this episode intensely!

 

For those of you who have been avid fans of the show since the beginning, you’ll know all about Lost: The Official Magazine, as we appeared on the shelves to coincide with the launch of season two. Those new to Lost’s official mag – howdee!

 

The cast, crew and production office work extremely closely with us to bring you the best magazine possible, and now, we’ve got our own online ‘hatch’ if you will, with this new Blog zone as part of ABC.com. On a regular basis, I’ll be bringing you up-to-date, as we have it teasers and info on every forthcoming issue of the Lost magazine. Issue #14 is out now, but what does #15 (out February 15) have in store? Well, I can confirm the following at this time:

 

• It will be a 100-page special, celebrating the arrival of the new season.

• Evangeline Lilly talks extensively about the Kate/Jack/Sawyer situation.

• Lost’s VFX team reveal their personal fave 10 effects so far.

• Michael Giacchino talks exclusively about the Lost Symphony and its future.

 

...and I’ll be posting more previews of this forthcoming BIG edition very soon.
