CMA Awards: Live From Nashville

Shows over!

Well a couple days after the show and I can't believe its all over! Time flies when you are having fun. It was definitely a lot of work putting everything together but it was well worth it. The Countdown to Country Musics Biggest Night turned out so well and has gotten so many views on abc.com so definitely check it out if you haven't already. Jake, Chuck, and Ashley were so great to work with. It really made the show to have all of them involved. The boys worked well together and were so much fun to hang out with. The recap show on the 13th sums up the week nicely. Well im on the plane now about to turn off my phone so until next year....ciao!!!

George Strait thank you!!!

Yes, I did say hi and congrats to THE GEORGE STRAIT. I won't mention what he won for yet but OMG don't miss George on the thank you cam tomorrow!!!!!

Carrie underwood...

We are right across the hall from her dressing room with the thank you cam and that girl is busy! After she comes off stage she runs back and changes. I swear I have seen her in like 6 different dresses so far and she is beautiful!

Backstage is CRAZY!

The show has just barely started and people are running around like crazy. We saw miley and billy ray who presented together and she looked amazing. Right after that lil wayne was running by with kid rock! Didn't think lil wayne would be making an appearance!

OMG Sugarland rocks!

Sooo we just sat in rehearsals with Sugarland and Jennifer Nettles is amazing! Her stage presence is unbelievable and her voice is incredible. I sat about 20 feet behind her as she watched her performance on the big screen to make sure it looked good. It was surreal.

Nashville is the place to be...

After having been in Nashville for a week now, I think I've decided I'm moving here! Ok not seriously, but I do love the people, the town and even the weather is not too bad (except for today, it was freezing!). The city is getting lively with all the artists coming in to rehearse and get ready. We went to the Walk of Fame event today where stars Trace Adkins, Martina McBride, Little Richard and others got inducted. We interviewed both Trace and Martina who are nominated for a CMA award this year. It was such an honor to meet them both. Later on we shot another episode in the Countdown and talked with Jason Aldean nominated for Best New Artist of the Year. He was rehearsing a new song that he is performing at the awards on Wednesday and it rocked! It was so fun to sit and listen to him rehearse with his band, I mean who gets to do that?! Don't miss Day 2 in the Countdown to Country Musics Biggest Night tomorrow where you will see inside the rehearsal for Jason Aldean.
Phew! Its been a long day and that wasn't even the end! After seeing Jason rehearse, we went to see Kellie Pickler rehearse and she was great! I can't wait to see her perform at the awards. We talked with her for a few minutes afterwards (which you can see in the Countdown on Wednesday) and even though I could tell how tired she was from rehearsing, she was so nice.
Ok now I'm tired! Its off to bed to rest for another busy day tomorrow. From Nashville, TN...goodnight!

Love us some Heidi Newfield!

We finished shooting earlier with Heidi Newfield at her home and she was great! Heidi was formerly with the band Trick Pony but now has a solo career. Her house was beautiful and she was so nice. She was all over the place trying to juggle three shoots at the same time all the while still making us feel welcome. We got up close and personal with Heidi in her closet talking about what she is wearing the night of the awards which was a lot of fun. At the end, we had her make the perfect grand entrance which you will ONLY see in the Countdown to Country Music's Biggest Night November 6th!

Day 2 in Nashville!

Its about time for bed and we have just put the finishing touches on the first show in our Countdown to Country Music's Biggest Night. Its been a busy couple days since I arrived but its been so much fun. We have gotten to talk with some of my favorite artists, James Otto and Lady Antebellum who are actually both nominated for best New Artist of the Year! Tomorrow we will get to go into the home of Ms. Heidi Newfield who will show us her jewlery and talk about what she is wearing on the big night.
Its going to be a great first show in the Countdown tomorrow so check it out! We get a tour around Nashville, hang with the beautiful Whitney Duncan and get the scoop on the awards from the CEO of CMA, Tammy Genovese.
