THE BACHELORETTE - Shocker!

I could not have physically been more wrong about how The Bachelorette was going to turn out this week.  It would have been scientifically impossible.

This was a special two-part Bachelorette event, a prelude to next week’s fateful final rose ceremony.  We got to see DeAnna on dates with Jason, Jeremy and Jesse in the Bahamas.  Then, the highly anticipated Men Tell All episode, where all the rejected suitors come back and get snippy.  But most importantly, tonight was the night that DeAnna sent Jeremy home.

As you can read here, Jeremy was my pick for DeAnna all along.  I actually like Jason better for DeAnna, but I figured she would pick Jeremy all along. 

<BUZZER SOUND>  Wrong!

The first warning sign came during DeAnna and Jeremy’s date in the Bahamas.  He was a little withdrawn on the beach.  The guy was clearly anxious about telling DeAnna that he loved her, so during dinner he comes across as distant and awkward.  He finally busts out with his feelings, but I thought that by then things might have felt a little weird to DeAnna.   I started to wonder if Jeremy was such a sure thing after all.

Then DeAnna has these great dates with Jesse and Jason.  Both guys were very romantic and had a better vibe with DeAnna than Jeremy did.  Her date with Jason in particular seemed to go really well.  They seemed like a couple of honeymooners.

Incidentally, each Bahamas date consisted of three components:  1) frolicking 2) dinner 3) Fantasy Suite!  Each of the three guys received a card inviting them to stay with DeAnna in the Fantasy Suite, a private hotel room loaded with the world’s supply of candles.  All three guys jump at the chance, of course.  We’re all adults here; we all know what the Fantasy Suite is all about.  They’re not up there looking at her yearbook.

Then – the shocking rose ceremony.  DeAnna picks Jesse FIRST, and then after the world’s longest pause… she gives Jason a rose.  Jeremy is out.  He’s stunned, devastated.  A tearful DeAnna leads him to the limo and says goodbye.  OMG.  Not only did I not expect him to get sent home but I felt bad for Jeremy, who was sincerely heart-broken.

We don’t have to wait long to see Jeremy again, because he shows up during the Men Tell All episode along with Graham, Twilly, the dude who tore his shirt off on the first night, and everyone else.  That was a little tense.  DeAnna sparred with Graham, who seemed defensively flippant about getting sent home.  Video montages focused on themes like the Philosophy of Ron the Barber and Everyone Hates Jeremy.  Man, he was not popular among the guys, was he?

The big news on the Men Tell All show, which was filmed recently, is that DeAnna is engaged, presumably with the person that she picks next week during that final rose ceremony.

So who will it be?  Jesse, the laid back snowboarder from Colorado?  Or Jason, the sensitive single dad from Seattle?  Personally I’m thinking she’s going to pick Jason, but clearly I can be wildly off-base about such things.

Jason or Jesse?  Who ya got?

ok, this is not a popular opinion but from day one i have thought deanna is hot but come on- she is vapid and self centered and incredibly clingy. any education with this girl? probably not. fred, jeremy and richard are wayyyy out of her league.

I am so amazingly disappointed in the way this all played out ... I agree, it should have been between Jeremy and Jason. I DO NOT feel any chemistry between her and Jesse when I see them together. He just seems like he's a long ways away from growing up. Needless to say... I was heartbroken for Jeremy and would love to be there to help pick up his pieces.. *wink* Deanna is one SILLY chick to let someone like that slip through her fingers.

Hey Dave, I'm going to agree with u here, I think DeAnna is going to pick Jason but I may be wrong, we will all have to tune in next week and see who she picks...I'm hoping it will be Jason, they make a great couple and look good together.

Watch out guys... Next week she'll pick Jesse. My hint that she would not pick Jeremy was her constant mention of his being "perfect," which sounds like a woman trying to convince herself to fall in love. I was physically sick when she let him go. What a shocker! Poor, poor guy. I hope he can recover and use this experience as a lesson that he, too can "learn to love again."

I've been rooting for Jason from the beginning, but the way DeAnna's been talking lately makes me think she'll end up picking Jesse. She talks about Jason being so supportive and sweet, but I've never heard her mention how much she wants to kiss him or how surprisingly attracted she is to him.

She'll pick Jesse because: every episode their connection grows; he's a daredevil like her; and the reality of becoming an instant mom to Ty is going to intimidate her in the end. Jesse does seem to have genuine feelings for her and even talked about wanting to get married and start a family right away.

This girl is NOT predictable, so we'll surely have an exciting episode next week. I'll probably have to take the next day off work to recover from the shock.

I do look forward to hearing more about her future. How soon do you think we'll get the "after the diamond" update episose?

PS. ABC, I want an update on FRED's date with the girl in the audience!!! How ironic would it be if HE's the one this season who ends up getting married?

Jesse is not mature enough, he told his father he is not ready to get married. Then this week he is?? Give me a break..

She was a fool to let Jeremy go, I would gladly date him.

She contradicted herself so many times..She cried at the BBQ because noone was paying attention. Jeremy was! Then she leaves Jesse in the last 2 who didn't pay so any emotion until the end..If she picks Jesse, it will not last and she deserves that..

I think she'll pick Jason! I've like him from the beginning. After the three dates, I knew Jesse and Jason were in. Her date with the two of them gave me goosebumps where as Jeremy's date did not. From the previews of next week, I'm thinking it's Jason b/c she kisses Jesse on the cheek!!!

I have never been so attached to a show like this, I so hope she picks Jason, but who knows with Deanna I don't see her being as happy long term with jesse. Jason is so so sweet he is a great dad, but that may scare Deanna off I hope not, that would be one less child she would have to carry and give birth two. I will be out of town next week and I am so upset I will record it, but it's not the same...Best show ever!!

I just love Jesse.. he's so cute and loveable! I think him and Dee(yeah, that's what he calls her and it's adorable.) are just natural together, so comfortable. And about the chemistry thing between him and Dee, i just think they got a late start in that department because he wanted to be her friend first, but i honestly do think it's there - you could defintely see it on their last date. In fact, i think that will make their relationship stronger because since they had that friendship bond first, they allowed their feelings to develope into something more and i think they are constantly growing stronger in their relationship every time they're together and that's a recipe for happiness. Whereas with Jason, they pretty much went straight into dating instead of really getting to know each other first. I think that Jesse's way of doing things shows that he's really invested in this deal and wants to do it the right way as if they weren't on the show. And as far as starting a family, i think he would defintely be ready! (which he already told her). I think he would make an excellent father because he's so loving and compassionate. Also, his parents are just lovely and you can tell that he takes his queus from them so you know he'd be a good family man and really support his family.

On the other hand, i think Jason is a great guy and an excellent father. He seems to be really caring and kind. I like Jason, but honestly I just do not see them together. I don't know, there is just something that doesn't click with them. But maybe I'm wrong, who knows for sure except DeeAnna?

I think she will pick Jason for one very important reason: his family. She NEEDS his strong family unit. They were just lovely and so gracious to her! That whole Seattle segment was happy and touching. Jeremy's family would never fill her family need and I actually thought his brothers were rude to her. The very fact that Jeremy has no parents weighed heavily against his being a finalist. She also got along with Jesse's family, but I didn't feel as much warmth as I did with Jason's family. Graham's Mother did him in! Graham was doomed from that visit on. Graham needs some serious help anyway so D is better off without him. It is Jason all the way -- famous last words!!

I cannot stand that guy at all. I think now she have two nice pick. The both are sincere and really like of Deanna. She could pick Jason.

I think it will be Jesse because he has a sense of adventure Jason seems to lack and all along during the course of the show Deanna has shown her side of doing adventurous things like stock car driving, 4-wheelin and she looked so confortable with Jesse snowboarding. Each week they have seemed to "bond and grow" in their friendship-relationship status. Jesse seems to be the guy who can give her the love, adventure, fun and family Deanna is looking for in life. I think they will make a beautiful couple and Jesse is the type of guy who can "unconditionally" love Dianna and make her happy forever. Their personalities seem to mesh into the makings of something special.

i want her to pick Jason..who wouldn't want him?? he's gorgeous, sweet, fun, and a wonderful father...his family is welcoming and fun as well...deeanna has a connection with ty...she was him long ago..without a mom and she could fill those shoes without stepping on the toes of his real mom....i love jesse, but don't see it.

Ya, Deanna needs a man who has a sweet mother and both Jesse and Jason have that. I can see how Jason's mother would be great. She cooked her a Greek meal!

I am so in love with Jesse! He is my pick, all the way. Except I think she'll pick Jason. Jason is a good catch, too, but Jesse... he's so exciting, and straight up with her, and so earnest. Adorable. The way he looks at her, no other guy just stares at her in awe and says what's on his mind like that. And the little sound byte of him saying to her next week, "I love you with all my heart." OMG. Jesse, when she rejects you (because she's a fool) I'll pick up the pieces! Hahaha... Anyway, that being said, Jeremy needs to be the next "Bachelor." If America can turn the narcissistic, temperamental, wishy-washy, spurned Deanna into "The Bachelorette" (everytime I think I like her and she does something great, she turns around and gives women a bad name and makes me hate her again) we CERTAINLY can give this gorgeous heartbroken guy a chance at love. Maybe he can find a girl who will make HIM laugh and lighten HIM up! I'll audition for the show! :)

I was blown away that she sent Jeremy home. I simply don't see it with Jesse. I, too, think she'll choose Jason because on the previews she kisses him full on and only kisses Jesse on the cheek. She's been REALLY up front with her kisses in that way. Also, the table holding the rose has something hidden, and I think it's the rose for Ty, too. They will be so great together!!!! Is it Monday yet?

I thought it wsa interesting that she got so frustrated with Graham because she thought he was being flip about their time together. But right before she told him she'd felt bad when she sent him home, but she didn't regret it anymore. So are all of the guys supposed to continue to fawn all over her after she rejected them? I understand the format of the show, but think she needs to get over herself, too, and realize that these guys should get to keep some of their pride entact after being sent home.
