THE BACHELORETTE - Heart break two-step

Bacht_2

A whole lot happened on this week's episode of The Bachelorette - it's a good thing it was two hours long.  As usual I frantically typed away on my laptop, trying to keep up with developments over at The Bachelorette Live Blog, but here's a recap of what went down in DeAnna's world this week:

Mullet no more - Martial artist Sean finally got with the program and got a haircut this week, which DeAnna seemed to like.  Now we have to get that guy into a dark, tailored suit instead of the hideous suits he's been wearing and his transformation will be complete.

Line dancing and bull riding - DeAnna took the guys on a Western date, where they learned (or tried to learn) how to two-step.  Everyone took a turn on the mechanical bull, which snowboarder Jesse excelled at.  DeAnna was thrown from the bull and feigned injury - all the guys came rushing over to help except Ron, who stood there with his beer.  Not chivalrous.

Special guest star - The lads got the third degree from special guest star Ellen DeGeneres, who got to hand out an Immunity Rose (to Fred) and give DeAnna some advice.

Jeremy vs Ron, round two - Ron continued his rivalry with Jeremy, who he thinks is a big phony.  Unfortunately, DeAnna doesn't feel the same way about Jeremy, and seemed really put off by Ron's attitude.  Ron seemed more interested in scoring points with the guys and putting Jeremy in his place than in scoring with DeAnna.

Magic carriage ride... to the airport - Science teacher Richard tried to impress DeAnna on his solo date with her, but she wasn't feeling it.  They go on a magical glowing carriage ride, and DeAnna makes the driver pull over so she can dump him.  Hey, at least she's honest.  DeAnna rides off in the carriage back to Bachelorette Manor.  Richard rides off in a cab to the airport.

Jason's secret - On a romantic date at an observatory, Jason finally tells DeAnna that he's got a three year old son.  She opens up about the death of her mother.  They bond.  Later, DeAnna has a star named after Jason's son, which was hella sweet of her.

The final reckoning - Before the Rose Ceremony, DeAnna gives Ron one last chance as they talk outside.  She says that she's cold, but Ron doesn't take off his jacket and put it on her like every other guy does that night.  Not chivalrous.  Arch-rival Jeremy swoops in and steals her away, and she whispers "Thank you."

The Rose Ceremony - Ron and Paul do not receive roses this week, just air fare back to their home towns.  I am once again surprised that Twilley lasted another week, but everyone knew that Ron's days were numbered.

Next week - DeAnna freaks out on the guys and cries and stuff.  That's all the incentive I need to tune in right there.

DeAnna naming a star in honor of Ty was super sweet. I hope it was sincere and that Jason turns out to be The One. VERY glad to see Ron leave the show - he's in denial that he was rejected but should just accept it. I am not too impressed with Jeremy always trying to steal DeAnna away from the other guys.

I thought DeAnna naming a star after Ty was the sweetest thing. I really hope he ends up being the one but heck if she doesn't pick him.... I'd marry him

M'mmm...I thought Jason seemed kind of stalkerish, until he *actually* got to have a date with her. I also think that has to do with ABC's editing. I like Jeremy - he just doesn't give a hoot about anybody else. It puts a little spice in the show! :)

I loved that DeAnna named a star after Ty, it was the perfect way to show Jason that having a kid doesn't bother her. Before, I dreaded him telling her because I didn't know if she'd be okay with it, but now that it is, I am relieved that he told her. Also, out of all the guys Jason is the only one that I know for a fact is sincere on the reasons he is there. Jeremy, sometimes seems more into the competition, and he's rude, he shouldn't steal DeAnna away from the guys all the time, he'd be pissed if everyone did it to him. I do see a bit of chemistry between her and Jeremy though. 3/4 of the guys left I don't see chemistry with. I personally think it'll come down to Jeremy and Jason at the end.

Omg, can I just say that I think Ron's ex-wife probably has stories to share about him...? I tell you what, as soon as she confronted him on the "cowboy" date, I was thinking, "Hm, I wonder where the security is because he worries me!" Thank GOD she got rid of him. He was too old for her and seems like a complete control-freak who would not be happy with a woman unless she was barefoot and pregnant.

And phew! There goes Paul. He needed to go. He never appeared to be her "type," was too young and if she kept him on any longer, he would have really thought something was there that was not. Poor guy. I'm sure he won't have a probably finding a sweet little 22yo in Canada. Just a wee bit too innocent (and short!) for our DeAnna. lol ;-)

I'm not so sure on Jason making it to the end now. I didn't realize there was an ex-wife in the picture and that ads much more baggage than other scenarios. Hm. I do expect him to go further than some others, but I don't know that he's showing enough "fun guy" side and clearly that's what DeAnna wants to see.

Can't believe Robert is going to try and kiss her... and the first fight? I predict there was a bet made on who was going to kiss her next and she finds out about it. Lol... Silly girl, doesn't she know boys will be boys...?

I'm very interested to see what happens next! Still can't believe Richard is gone. I can only think it had to be the cameras that caused him to stiffen up (not literally - this is PG-13!) whenever he was on. She clearly said that when he was in the house with her, he was funny and all... obviously she got to see a different side of him than we all did. That's too bad. :-(

Jason, my homeboy... man up and stop being such a softie! You've shown the soft side, now show that you can be fun and "macho" too. Well, at least that's what I hope we see.
