THE BACHELORETTE - Three down
This week's The Bachelorette was absolutely brutal. No less than three guys got sent home by DeAnna this week - one during the Rose Ceremony and both guys that went on the two-on-one date.
As the competition between the shrinking group of suitors becomes more serious, so does DeAnna. She's learned from bitter experience the cost of leading somebody along in a situation like this, so she hasn't been shy about telling guys straight up that they weren't a good match for her. She feels it's better to get the pain and heartbreak out of the way rather than stringing somebody along, and I can see her point.
This week the chef with the glowing complexion Robert and Fred the Man from Chicago went on a two-on-one date with DeAnna in a hilltop mansion somewhere in Hollywood. As the harsh rules of the dreaded two-on-one date go, there is only one Immunity Rose, so one of the guys is summarily kicked off the show during that date. Both guys were very nervous about the whole thing, but Robert wildly misread the situation and felt like he and DeAnna shared some potent erotic connection. He went in for a kiss at the wrong time and got DeAnna's cheek instead of her lips. Bad sign.
Sure enough, DeAnna let Robert go and walked the stunned guy to the limo. Fred breathed a sigh of relief. He was safe, right? Wrong! DeAnna returned to him and then announced that sorry, he was going home, too. Fred's a great guy, but the chemistry just wasn't there for her and she didn't think it was fair to keep him around for another week thinking that he had a shot at winning her heart.
There was more drama in store this week. DeAnna and Graham clashed again when he revealed he was jealous that she was spending time with all these other guys. You can tell that DeAnna's really attracted to Graham, but the guy needs to meet her half way and show her that he's there for her.
In addition to getting P.O.'d at Graham, DeAnna tearfully laid into the guys at a barbeque party for not being 100% committed to the whole process. I wasn't quite sure where she was coming from since it's difficult to capture all the nuances and subtleties of intepersonal communication with a camera, but I gather that she was upset that the barbeque was more of just the guys hanging out rather than a DeAnna-centric event. That was just my take on it.
Since DeAnna had eliminated two guys earlier in the week, only one suitor was going home during the Rose Ceremony. It turns out that Twilley, the oddball of the group, was once again defying the odds and common sense and is staying around a little longer. Does anybody really think the guy has a chance? Instead, studly Brian from Texas was sent back home to the Lone Star state. Now we'll never know the secret of his hair. Was it prematurely grey? Frosted? The mysteries of Brian's hair will remain unknown to us.
Who's sticking around? Jason the sensitive single dad, Jeremy the square jawed lawyer, Graham the unshaven stud, Sean the martial artist, Twilley, and snowboarder with heart of gold Jesse. Next week: more heartbreak, more making out, more bare male torsos.

I personally think the crying and tantrum-throwing was a bit unnecessary on Deanna's part. On the other hand, I feel like Graham and Robert should have apologized to Deanna. It does seem like she's falling for Graham. Guess a lil' playing hard to get never hurt. My favorite is now Jesse. All the rest of the guys can go somewhere. But she'll probably pick either Graham or Jeremy. I'm more and more weirded out as the weeks go by, but yeah I'll finish up the series. Anyone see Chris Harrison's face when he saw them all in the hot tub? LOL he didn't look none to happy...

I do have to say one thing, though. Props to Deanna for thinking outside of the box and doing what's right for her. It was harsh, it was almost pulling a Brad, but it was the right thing to do to send both Robert AND Fred home. Also, I LOVED it when she just broke the ice and the tension and was like, know what y'all? Let's jump in the pool. She knows what she wants, and doesn't apologize for it; that's for sure.
Ladies and Gentlemen: the dark horse Twilley for the win. Seriously?

I am glad the DeAnna was honest with Fred and Robert. No one wants to be strung along if the feelings aren't there. I think DeAnna wants to fall for Jesse but is afraid that he's not her "type." If it's not DeAnna, Jesse will make a great husband to some young lady out there. I definitely think DeAnna is hanging on to Jason until she gets to meet his son. I am not sure why she is hanging on to Twilley. Someone needs to tell Jeremy that DeAnna is not his wife.

If Sean or Twilley get a hometown date over Jesse... I dunno. Hometown dates should be Graham, Jeremy, Jason, and the 4th is up for grabs, but I'd like it to be Jesse.

So I googled him, and he was on another reality tv show: MTV's MADE. He was a snowboard instructor to an ultra prissy, popular high school girl who wanted to learn. Interesting.

I cannot understand why Twilly stayed and Brian went home??? DeAnna what is wrong with you?? You seem to really like Grahm I personally think your Heart will be broken again if you choose him. You have been very verbal about honesty and communication. Graham should have gone home with Bobby,he did the same thing Bobby did. Graham told you to your face that he has trouble communicating.Good Luck!!

DeAnna is so into Graham. It's all about Graham. She was upset at the BBQ because he was ignoring her and didn't kiss her at the race track. Plus, the other guys were hanging out with each other and not focusing on her. Playing hard to get is working for Graham. In addition, he is falling for her. Although he is quiet, he is so jealous of the other guys being with her.

Jason is the best catch. He would make a wonderful husband. He is adorable. I think DeAnna is attracted to him, but in the end, she will pick Graham.

Even though Graham almost did the same thing Bobby did, (ignore her) he will not be sent home because she is so attracted to him. Jason said it at the race track, "the rules are different for Graham, they have a special bond." In the end DeAnna will be carried away by the fairytale ending and pick Graham because he is so gorgeous and playing hard to get.

I can not believe that Twilley is still in this game. I can not see why she is so attracted to Graham he is not very communicative and also he is self centered, she places so much to being able to be open and above board and I can not see Graham being either now or if they were together. If I had to pick it would be Jason or Jeremy. Jesse is not really a down to earth kind of guy and how long can he make money at his profession. We will see next week I guess, but I hope she makes the right decision based on communication, trust and love.

I think it is going to come down the Graham and Jason. I think I am going to go out on a limb here for Graham you all are sayin he is playin hard to get.and yeah maybe he is. Or maybe he is just honestly scared to let himself totally fall for her. As for Jason, I think he is amazing. I also think that Jeremy thinks he has this in the bag that he is going to be the one with her and I dont think that is the truth. Its going to come down to Graham and Jason..who I believe are both amazing men..but who knows. Only Deanna knows what she is feeling.

Jesse is truly genuine. The theater experience was awesome. Deanna was happy and smiling and at ease, unlike the frustration she sees with Graham or Jeremy - they are hunks but they are so all about them and this thing about her being in the spotlight drives them nuts - long term, it's Jesse!

Well.... The all around best guy in the whole deal is Jason. He is adorable, sweet , has a good head on his shoulders and he knows who he is. Jason and Deanna seem comfortable together and I really see the relationship as one that will grow stronger and stronger!! I loved it when he came and comforted her last week, what a gentleman! Graham is just too wishy washy. Jesse is cool, but do not know if he is right for Deanna. Jason has my vote.

Last night was a great episode, even though I a) felt really bad for Fred, and b) can not BELIEVE she kept Twilley (i distinctly said to my friend after Twilley made this crazy jumping motion at the BBQ "i could never marry a man whose body moves in that way" haha). Deanna obviously is obsessed with Graham - and who wouldn't be. He's superfine. Lol. But they definitely need to get on the same page. For those of you who watched Brett Michael's "Rock of Love II" this past season, this is very much like Kristy Jo, who Brett was so attracted to but so unsure of how SHE felt towards him that they'd fight and make up almost every episode, but you could tell he was smitten. Same deal here. I vote for Graham b/c he's a hot NC boy, but i'd put my 2nd choice as Jason, then Jesse. Jeremy is too intense, Shawn tries to hard, Twilley is a freak, and that's about all. Go Graham :)

Dave, you are so right. Twilley has been lucky. He's just a little too odd. I think Graham is a bad choice since it is always drama filled. She needs to stick with Jason or Jeremy. Sean and Jessy are a little too out there, and I don't see that she's attracted to them.

Ok i could understand sending Robert home, but Fred? What did he ever do but be honest about why he was their. I thought he was a little cutie. Anyway, i don't understand the attraction to Jesse, but to each their own. I see DeAnna with Jason in the long run. She may not want to be a mom right away but i think she will make the best of the situation. She has a heart of gold for putting up with Graham and his stuborn attitude. Good luck DeAnna.

Graham, Jeremy, Jesse, and Jason. These guys are the ones that she is most attracted to. However, I believe that it is Graham that she is most attracted to and although Jason and Jeremy seem more stable, she will follow her feelings and go for Graham. Graham has the same sexy, mysterious way about him that Brad did and I believe her thoughts are consumed with Graham for this very reason. My vote is for Graham!

I think Graham is the hottest thing I have ever seen! How did he get those Abs?! I am seriously obsessed with Deanna and Graham and I REALLY REALLY hope she picks him! I LOVE GRAHAM!I may just stop watching the show if she doesn't pick him. (probably not!!- but maybe)

I'm having a hard time understanding why so many people believe that Jeremy is all about himself. He's made it very clear from day one that he's there for Deanna. And he's one of the only two, himself and Jason, who have devoted all of their time to being with her instead of male bonding.
Posted by: mocha_angel | June 19, 2008 at 08:15 AM
DeAnna and Jason do seem comfortable together. Their differences will keep them ticking... and their similarities is what will keep them fighting as a couple to make it last and to make it strong!! In my opinion... this is (pardon the cliche') written in "the stars" lol

i just cant understand why in the hell graham didnt make it to the top three. i am so pissed off at the deanna for this. all of the sudden it was between graham and jeremy. and i dont know how jason got into thses two. but i guest its because when jason got the chance to stayed up at the mansion with deanna. and that just a new start of them. the eye of the show was on graham and deanna. i hope that deanna knows what she doing right now. because this is not the first time she did this. she did it the first time with richard. like hello she could keep him back tah get to know him, just like the other dudes. anyways back to basic. i am very disappointed that graham got out of the show. my besties were graham and jeremy from the begining and still is. now that graham is out, hopefully she'll pick JEREMY not jason. but who knows jason might get that chance. but still i have hope for jeremy. jesse is for sure going out. i dont know why the hell deanna is keeping him that long when she not even falling in love with. jesse is more likely a friend to have fun out with.

I think she made a big mistake not picking Graham. Wow, I don't blame him for not opening up completely, look how rude she was to him at the Men Tell All. It was a slap in the face. I don't think she knows what she wants because her feelings change by the minute.
Posted by: Cathy | June 30, 2008 at 11:29 PM
I agree with you. I thought it was rude too, because Graham did express himself in the letter and she said that she didn't believe that feeling anymore. I think she made a big mistake too and her pride is in the way. She doesn't want to look like Brad.
