THE BACHELORETTE - Second Chance
Millions of viewers watched DeAnna Pappas get her heart broken and generally get dissed by Brad Womack during that final rose ceremony of The Bachelor, 2007 season. In a dramatic first for the show, Bachelor Brad didn't give the rose to either of the two women and chooses to walk off into the proverbial sunset alone... What was he thinking?? That still trips me out to this day.
Brad's loss is our gain, because DeAnna (pronounced dee-AH-nuh) has moved on and is now the star of The Bachelorette, premiering Monday May 19th, at 9PM.
DeAnna will see if she can find true love from a herd of 25 virile and relatively handsome men, all contending for her affection.
I've been looking through the gallery of bachelors on ABC.com's The Bachelorette page . Some of them look like they might be OK, but there are a couple that have to go because they look creepy and possibly dangerous. Kidding! I kid. Besides, I'm sure they've all been screened, right? My early favorites are Richard and Eric, whereas I think oyster farmer Luke and unshaven Patrick C are not going to make it very far at all. Check it out, it's amusing to look through the gallery of suitors and pick out Prince Charming as well as the trolls.
I'm looking forward to the premiere because that's when all 25 dudes will be in Bachelorette Manor, where the drinks are flowing. All of the guys will be trying to get her attention in order to survive that first brutal rose ceremony where she'll send a dozen or so home, so I anticipate some hilarious Stupid Bachelor Tricks fueled by alcohol and desperation. That's good TV, folks.
I'm also looking forward to the premiere because I'll be live blogging about The Bachelorette all season. The live blog is basically a live play-by-play of the show as it unfolds. It should be a lot of fun, I get to be petty in real time! The link will be posted on The Bachelorette page on ABC.com. Grab your laptop and a beverage and join me for The Bachelorette next Monday, won't you? I'll bring chips.

It's so nice that all the Bachelor/Bachelorette seasons have ended in healthy, long-term, heterosexual relationships.

Hi Dave, I am routing for Kristi and Mark all the way. I think the judges were very critical on Marisa and Tony. Just because she's not a size 1 they didnt like her. She could Dance. Please let someone new win. I am tired of seeing the same people win year after year. I think that Christian should bow out gracefully. Go Kristi and Mark all the way..

The Rose Ceremony Game ??? Where is it?
It is Friday May 16, the show starts in 3 days and there is no Rose Ceremony Game. Will one be posted? I love to help pick who I think is a great match.

He was thinking "if I do this, I will be remembered forever, at least among anyone who remembers this show."

Boy, this ought to be interesting. I mean, has everyone forgot how mean DeAnna was in The Bachelor? It wasn't until her hometown date that we all started to see more of a "nice" side to her. Before that, it wasn't so pretty. I'm interested to see how she'll behave and if she really will find the right guy for her. I like, of course, the guy from Greece (Eric) for the obvious Greek connection with her and her family, but I too like Richard (good pick, Dave!). I was skeptical of his being from NY because I couldn't see a through-and-through New Yorker being with a "southern belle"-type, but then DeAnna had an edge to her that could fit in really well with a New Yorker.
Hey, no matter who the girl is or her past reputation, I will always root for the girl choosing from 25 men vs the guy choosing from 25 women. If The Bachelor has taught us anything, it's that women need to be liberated in the form of having The Bachelorette being the main course and The Bachelor as the side dish instead of the other way around! The women make smarter choices and stay pretty true to themselves. The men seem to get caught up like a 13yo boy at his first school dance, and pick any of the women who show him the most attention -- even if the women are starting to resemble stalkers (as we have seen in previous seasons)!
Eager to see what happens!!

Where is the Rose Ceremony Game? It's not the "Bachelorette" without it!!

I've looked at the guys and my picks are Richard, Chris, and Jason! They are super cute and dont have that creepy look! There are a few that even look a little girly!

I wish the best for DeAnna. She deserves it after being dumped by that loser Brad. She is such a sweetheart.

should of kept the ab man he is from my home town from new castle indiana he was probably good folk just desperate for her attention because he was nervous he was a cutie
Posted by: cheryl | May 19, 2008 at 09:08 PM
I agree w/you Cheryl, I liked ab-man from Indiana too! Perhaps b/c I am a "tad older" than DeAnna though, but I am not intimidated by a gorgeous man ripping his shirt open to reveal a CHISELED 8-pack...and then placing my hand on it to feel. Um, in fact, I dream of the day that happens to me! LOL.. I would have kept him FOR SURE...and asked to see more. That man was fine.

GO richard!!!!!
Great Guy awesome Teacher i know cause he was my teacher and he deserves a good girl!!

I am all for Jason. He was so sweet with his son and seems like a genuine guy. I have to admit I felt heartbroken for Luke. He may not be as suave as the rest, but he was a sweet, humble man. She should have kept him around and given the Ryan the boot (he's creepy).

Ok I am all for Robert and I definitely would have given him the very first, first impression rose. Come on he danced with her when he got out of the limo and please he has such an adorable face.

DeAnna is the perfect type of woman in personality (as seen on tv) and in beauty of which I dream about to be my forever lover/friend.
Posted by: Shannon | May 26, 2008 at 08:08 PM
Deanna is extremly beautiful and deserving of a second chance at love. I love Jeremy, he's got a heart of Gold. I like Jason, he's handsome and a great family guy (but why's he single? What's his story?) I also like Graham but he seems shy and needs to open up some more so we can understand him more. Those are my 3 picks for her. I wish her the best of luck! P.S. I'm so glad she got rid of Greg immediately!!! Howling is sooo NOT cool!! He's bad news!

I was rooting for Deanna when she was dating Brad I have to say she seems a little desperat this time around......I dont find any of those men attractive.
