THE BACHELOR - OMG

The Bachelor came to an explosive conclusion this week as British hearthrob Matt Grant dropped a love bomb on one of the remaining two bachelorettes and... well, just dropped the other one. 

This week it came down to a choice between two women, Shayne or Chelsea.  Since I've been wildly off mark about which women are going to get eliminated this season, I thought that Matt might pick Chelsea.  Clearly not, and in retrospect it all sort of adds up.  Chelsea and Matt just didn't share the same kind of ease and intimacy that Shayne and Matt have.  I mean, he calls Shayne "monkey."  If one girl has a pet name and the other doesn't, that's a pretty good indicator as to who's going home.

But I didn't read the warning signs and thought he might go  for Chelsea, even after their awkward snorkeling date in Barbados where it was clear that the two of them didn't share a lot of chemistry.  I think this season I ended up projecting my own preferences and biases on to Matt and wanted him to pick women that I might like but that clearly aren't compatible with him.

Shayne, on the other hand, is clearly compatible.  The proposal scene was sweet, particularly when he said, "Monkey, will you marry me?"  Come on, that was cute.

I wish Matt and Shayne well, and am curious to see how their relationship sorts out considering the track record of previous Bachelor couples.

Next week:  On to The Bachelorette!  May my predictive powers serve me better there.

Congratulations to the HAPPY Couple! I always loved Shayne , she is so honest with herself and others and I think thats why Matt picked her. I just can't wait to see more on them , they are sooo cute together and would make an awesome reality show- something like The Newlyweds show with Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. Oh I hope ! I knew it would be shayne she was so cute and the chemistry between the two it was off the charts bouncing out of the TV.
Shayne was one of the only girls who got along with everyone in the house she really didn't sitr up much drama she was always sweet. As for chelsea I have no idea how she had made it so far it was looking at two bricks trying to connect between Chelsea and Matt. I truly believe Matt knew it was Shayne half way through the show. I am simply dying to have an update out of all the seasons of Bachelor this was truly the most romantic and probably has the best chance of success. Good Luck

Matt absolutely chose the right one! I was afraid he would choose Chelsea because he wanted so much to be in love with her. That's what happened to Dr. Andy, the Navy diver, who is now diving alone in the Pacific. Shayne is clearly in love with Matt and will fit in well in London--plenty of acting opportunities there, as well as her open-minded approach to life. Note to Dave Campbell: There are palm trees along the southern coast of England, so that was not such a "dumb" question! All the best to Matt and Shayne--I hope they make it work and I think they will.

What a frappin' fix - from day one. Matt is a total English galoot caught up in the Hollywood "would be scene" - thinks he's Beckam - and this dumb blonde is grooming him and vice-versa -Go get a room -We all know it won't last - What was he doing all alone on "Dancing with the stars" the other night - where was his "loving fiance" - what a load of hogwash - they need to give up on this fake, no good program - where there is more time spent drinking and partying - than really getting to know a person. Rubbish - absolute - I only watched it - since it was an English person and very interesting to see how things would go but from the getgo - this was an utter setup.

I am so glad that Shane got her man... She told Matt on vegas night that he could send all the other "B***hes" home that she was the one. I think she knew from the beginning. There was some kind of click between them. I hope they make it. The relationships on this show not really note worthy except Trisha and Ryan. It would be nice to see someone else make it. As for the person that asked why he was alone on the "Dancing Show". They couldn't give it away could they. That show was on before the bachelor finale. Think about it. I loved this season and I am looking forward to the bachelorette.

I am really disappointed in Matt. I was sure he was smart enough to see through Shayne. She is just a Barbie Doll and there will be another Ken before long if there already isn't one in the picture. She likes the attention and attractions all around her. Every mature adult could see this. Why did Matt miss it? To Bad, he passed up several girls that was a much better match in my opinion. Chelsea was right on when she told Matt that of all the girls, Shayne was the most fake. He would have been wise to have listened to her.

I can not believe you people, honestly she isn't that big of an actress have you seen her in anything recently? I am so happy for both of you. Shayne, you are an absolute doll and always showed your love for and to be with Matt. On the other side, Chelsea showed how mean spirited she is when she told Matt that Shayne was the fakest person there. Good comeback Matt, and for defending your love for Shayne. Being with Shayne was easy and always showed how much they cared for each other. Chelsea on the other hand was always so much effort on Matt's part. Love is supposed to be effortless and happen without having to force it. And the bonus was finding out Lorenzo Lamas was Shayne's father. No wonder she is so gorgeous! I hope to hear more about your love story in the future-best wishes to you both-I'm rooting for a happy ending and with the two of you, I'm positive that's what will happen. Good job, Matt, she's perfect for you.
