DANCING WITH THE STARS - 100th Show

Dancing_2

Dancing with the Stars celebrated its 100th Show in style this week by kicking another couple off the show.  That’s how it goes in the savage world of competitive ballroom dancing.  Law of the jungle, baby.

In a shocking twist, R&B star Mario and his smoldering partner Karina Smirnoff were eliminated this week.  Well, it was shocking to me, anyway.

I sincerely thought that Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur and her homey Tony Dovolani were going home this week, but instead they are one of the four couples advancing into the Semi-Finals next week.  Also advancing are The Guchi, Jason Taylor, and Cristian de la Fuente, who rebounded from last week’s injury big time.

Next week:  no Def Leppard.  But more dancing!  Hey, they can't have Def Leppard every week; then it would be called Dancing with Def Leppard, and that would be weird.  Have you ever seen anyone try to dance a Viennese waltz to "Pour Some Sugar On Me?"  Not pretty.

I find it unfortunate that some people forget the premise for the show. It is suppose to be a dance competition and should be judged on this only. If this had happened the final 4 would be very different.

I am very disappointed in Mario being eliminated, it seems unfair. I believe he should have been in the finals and I did vote!!! I just cant believe he did not win the trophy! Some time the best man does not win. He is a graceful person and a fierce competitor

I have a question that I would love to see answered before the end of the season. Granted the Musicians are fabulous...pros exceptional, but the costumes are truly remarkable. The quality and creativity are exceptional. It is stunning to see what (done with less care and class) could be ranchy and trashy, be done to be elegant and graceful. Who designs? Do dancer's have much input? Are they ever reused? I just think they are stars in their category and it has never been mentioned to my knowledge...Thanks Judy

Hopefully someone at ABC is taking Len to task for his cruel comment re Mario's "big feet" and inane anology to the wasted-trailer-trash Britney Spears getting out of cars.
What?????

I am about Len's age and think his comments on Monday were mean, off base, perhaps prejudiced, and even stupid when he started commentary about Jason's tango with "it was too Argentinan." As Bruno pointed out, what else would it be given that the Tango started in Argentina?

PLEASE rein Len in. Maybe Mario isn't the best dancer, but he has improved greatly, his body is beautiful, he seems to be a very good/kind person, and he is a joy to look at.

I admit I had not heard of Mario before this season of Dancing... And, due to living overseas, I watch the show a day later on the Armed Forces Network (therefor, I just saw the results show). Regarding Mario's comment on the bravery of our military men and women-THANK YOU! What a class act! VERY admirable for a young person who is in the media to make such a comment. PS to his mother-thank you for raising a wonderful, thoughtful, poised and brave young man. As I said, I only know him from Dancing.....for now :-)
Mario, you ARE a role model and inspiration to your peers.
Again, my heartfelt thanks!

Martha

Jason's use of a rosary as jewelry was very disrespectful and offensive. Please make sure your costume department is educated on what is and is NOT jewelry!
