OCTOBER ROAD - End of the road?

Hey, that was pretty good, wasn't it?

October Road wrapped up this season with a two-parter guest-starring Stacy Keibler, she of the long legs, formerly of WWE wrestling and Dancing with the Stars.  If you're going to get in trouble with your girlfriend for having a beer on the porch with some gal, they might as well look like Stacy Keibler.

This two-part episode really worked - it brought in a lot of different plot threads and character issues, and raised some interesting questions.   Who is Sam's dad?  Will Hannah ever figure out what a jerk Big Cat is?  Will she and Nick ever get back together?  Will things work out between Eddie and Janet? 

The real question is, will we ever see a third season of October Road?

No announcements have been made yet, but I understand there is a grassroots campaign in the works to convince the Powers That Be At ABC to pick up October Road for another season.  What do you think?  Feel free to leave a message in the comment section as to whether or not October Road should get renewed, and why you feel that way.  I happen to know that the Powers That Be drop by our humble blog now and then to see whether or not I should be fired yet, so your comments are very likely to be read.  I can't promise October Road will return, but maybe you can make a difference and help keep a good TV show on the air.

Because Lord knows, we need more good TV.

What I absolutely love about October Road is that it is geared for the grown-up who can so relate to the "yester years"!!! It would be a shame not to bring it back. There is so much reality tv on that this show is a refreshing change. The cast is great !!!

I love everything about October Road. The music, the characters, the stories. Sometimes it is a little awkward but so is life isn't it? Its like real life, how do you move on from high school and become a grown up? Please don't cancel this great show, give it a chance which seems to so rarely happen in these days of instant gratification. Can you really leave that as the last moments with Eddie & Janet??

ABC - PLEASE give it a chance - enough with the reality TV - let's get back to the way TV used to be -good and enjoyable to watch. To the man at ABC who can make or break October Road, this is the only show my girl friends and I have seen in years that is worth staying up to 11, with 2 kids and a full time job that takes quality tv; & you should know that the last few episodes of Grey's Anatomy left me asleep on the couch before 10. I love a show that I can relate too, I will never be a surgeon nor will I ever work for a fashion magazine like Betty, but I did come from a small town and after years apart did marry my high school sweetheart, this is a show for the small town women who like something we can relate too. To wrap, we need a season 3....

I LOVE this show! Finally something that all grown ups can identify with. We all have our high school memories, and they still effect the way we feel and react to situations. And my teenagers enjoy seeing how things turn out. That things change, but somehow stay the same. Love Janet and Eddie!! we need more October Road!!

I don't know why there is even an issue about bringing back October road. It should be commen sence that it will be back. My whole family loves the show and if there is a possibility of us missing it we make sure the DVR will record it. My husband and I absolutely love October Road. It reminds us of our group of friends. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS SHOW OFF THE AIR!!! This is a good quality TV show, which is very rare now-a-days, with the rise of reality TV. The only reason people watch reality TV is there is nothing worth while on to watch. Yeah, we have the Law and Orders and the CSI all dealing with crime, which is a big seller, but we really don't have too many real life shows, non reality shows. October Road is a keeper.

Please bring October Road back for a third season and give it all it deserves in terms of time slot,advertising etc. Its done pretty well considering its sometime on sporadically, doesn't always have as much advertising as it could, and hasn't had a full long season yet! Give it a full season and year to really catch on. This show has been my favorite over the last two years with great stories, music, and really likable and complex characters.

October Road is the greatest show on in a very long time. I am Hannah. Everything she has gone through, I went through and am going through the same things. The only problem with this show is that know one knows about it. I was lucky and caught 1 commercial at the beginning of the season, wrote it down on my calander that it was a show to check out and BOOM I was hooked. I never see commercials for it like I do other shows. We need more advertising!

October Road has brought me back to network TV. It's the best show not on cable and to not bring it back for at least 2 more seasons would be a huge mistake. Please, there are much worse, worthless shows on TV getting air time. Great cast, great writing, great music and great scenery. October Road works, plain and simple!

I hope that October Road comes back. It is one of my favorite programs. Too many unanswered problems in the program. We certainly can't have Big Cat get away with anything! Nick and Hanna has got to get back together! At least all the boys got back together. That was great. Made me cry....Please continue to put the show on. It's a great show. I think the cast and scripts for this show are great. I agree that it is a show that gets you to think and remember some of the things that shaped your life. (i.e. in the episode on Angela) Also, the characters all are distinct and provide contrasts to some of my memories of growing up.
This show really makes my Monday and if it does not return, will leave a large hole in ABC's programming.
Also, the music that is interwoven is excellent. It shows the care that the producers have taken to put together a quality show!

I was very disappointed when Once and Again was canceled. I thought the writing, acting, etc was excellent. I have found the same in OCTOBER ROAD. It's so believable; the characters are real people, facing real life problems. It would be a huge mistake not to bring this show back. It's the best show on television

My husband and I love October Orad. it can't possibly be cancelled. It's the only show all week that we actually sit down and watch together.it's a show everyone can relate to. We've all been or are in the weird place between deciding what we want to be when we grow up and actually being that. I feel like I've know Nick,Eddie, Phil, owen, Ikey, hannah jane, and janet my whole life. And, you can't possibly just leave what happened between Eddie and janet as the end. And if you do renew the show...which you better tell the writers that I think it would be a good idea to keep Janet and Eddie together! look at all the comments. that's what the people want!!

It has great storyline, ABC needs to give this show a chance....I know a lot people who watch this show and like it as well, but may not neccessarily take actions but do want to keep this show on.
