DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - More Bob and Lee, please
So I’m finally catching up on my Desperate Housewives episodes in order to prepare myself for the big re-launch in April, when we finally get new episodes. This season has been pretty good. As a guy I really appreciated the carnage of the tornado episode, particularly Victor’s picket fence impalement. Boo-yah! Now that was what I call symbolism!
But above all I really like the new neighbors, Bob and
Lee.
The DH producers may have finally gotten the hang of introducing new characters into the mix, and Bob and Lee fit nicely in with the she-devils of Wisteria Lane. Lee took an instant disliking to Susan, who tried waaay to hard to get on their good side and made a bollocks of things as usual. The episode with Bob and Lee’s hideous modern art water fountain was very funny, particularly Bree’s line, “All the gay men in the world, and we get the two without good taste.” I can’t really blame the housewives for hating on the sculpture fountain, which was so ghastly that God Himself had to step in and wipe that sucker out with a twister.
The great thing about Bob and Lee is that they’re just as catty and underhanded as anybody else on Wisteria Lane. They solve their water fountain battle with the neighborhood association in the time-honored Desperate Housewives manner: extortion! I think they fit right in, and I hope they’ll stick around when the new episodes start rollin’.
While I’m at it: more Nathan Fillion as Adam, please.
