About Dave Campbell
David Campbell is a Seattle-area writer who has specialized in
expounding at great length about forgotten old comic books on his blog, Dave’s Long
Box and now is stoked - stoked, I tell you! - to be writing for ABC.com.
As a freelance writer, Dave has written radio and TV commercials, plays, comics, humorous essays, and other sundry nonsense. His work has been featured in Image Comics and at Family.com and Cracked.com. Dave graduated with a theater degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA where he learned Pig Latin and how to throw a boomerang. A former whitewater river guide, Dave enjoys the outdoors and can grow a pretty good beard, but is sadly going bald. Dave once saved some puppies from a burning building. True story.
Dave lives with his two kids, two dogs, and one wife on an island in Washington State.

We are hopping that we can get ABC to change their minds about October Road. It is a great show and I believe that they never promoted on advertising it enough. I believe that ABC is missing the boat if they get rid of it. There are a huge amount of supporters out there. Please take a look at our different sites by looking on the October Road blog. Please we need a 3rd season!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't enjoy many of the reality shows, I've lost interest in rich, hot doctors, housewives and lawyers and I cannot stomach the crime, rape dramas. I do enjoy plain old October Road though.

Hey Dave, your column is great, and your write up after the finale of October Road was spot on. I'm glad to know you are a true fan. Maybe together we can "Save October Road!"

You know we applied for SuperNanny to help us out. We had a producer show up and shoot some footage and never heard from them again! I thought oh lord this almost has to be a joke or maybe they finally found a family (ours) that they figured out they couldn't help. Sad but true. Makes you wonder and it will always leave a bad taste in my mouth about the show because now I believe it's a big joke.

Please help us save the only show on TV that people can actually relate to - October Road! Get rid of reality TV and all of the other garbage that is on nowadays. Thanks!

Dave,
October road is a great show! it has all the story filled characters and the drama that keeps a series going. Kudos to the writers for going all out in the season finale- it was absolutely perfect. It was touching and warmfelt. even those that strayed a bit tuned in for the season finale and were impressed. can't wait for its return! If it keeps down the same path it went down during the finale, the shows a great shot to gain a huge fan base. (drama + hometown+ true friends+fun+a hint of wholesome+ family= great show)
ABC- bring it back!!! I

This is by far my favorite show. I love the music and everything about this show. Who ever picks the music really knows how to tug at our heart strings. It would be very sad to see this show canceled. It is on a bit late, perhaps an earlier time slot would help ABC.
