The end.
Hey guys.
Can you believe that this is my last blog :-(? Wait, not just yet...we have some bonus videos for you! Part one is below, and check back on Tuesday for part two and next Friday for part three. I hope you enjoy them. I loved making them!
I am writing this as I watch yesterday’s episode when Starr gives birth. It’s so crazy to watch me go into a delivery room about to have a baby. Brandon Buddy (“Cole”) just walked and started singing to me. :-) He’s singing “Crazy” because it’s crazy that Starr and Cole’s baby is about to be born. I do feel really bad for Jess (or should I say Tess) who is in pain and all alone about to have her baby while Starr is surrounded by her friends, family and Cole showed up too, which means the most.
Like I said in one of my previous blogs, having my friends and family from the show and my real life mom on set, was a very beautiful and emotional experience. I didn’t know it would be as rewarding as it was. I’m not just talking about the end of the story. I’m talking about the entire story. I’ve worked with some amazing people and to have such intimate scenes has brought me even closer to them. I feel like it’s made me closer with you, my fans. Even though I don’t see you, you welcome me into your home. It warms my heart. I know it sounds silly but I really do mean it. Not only did I go through all of this with the OLTL cast and crew, my family, I went through it with all of you. I want to thank you all for opening your hearts and sharing your stories and listening to mine. I hope that this has been as rewarding for all of you as it has been for me. Thank you for sharing this incredible journey with me. It’s definitely affected me in a way that I never expected.
A significant fact that I’ve learned is that 750,000 teen girls get pregnant each year. When I found out that fact, it shocked me more than anything. And over time, I hope that OLTL and everyone involved have made the slightest impact on that number. I hope we’ve given courage to teens to have a plan, stick to it and say “no.”
I want to thank everyone at the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy for their amazing support as well as the Candies Foundation for honoring our work and OLTL for making all of this possible by bringing you, the audience, a story of a teenage girl who made a mistake and learned a lot from it.
Starr’s story isn’t everyone’s story, but there is a part of Starr in all of us. Thank you for all of your support. I can’t even express how much it meant to me for all of you to be there to listen to me and watch Starr’s story. I never would have guessed that I would have been involved in a story like this, but I’ve learned an incredible amount about getting the facts and having a plan. It’s a great lesson for life not just for teens thinking about having sex.
Keep watching and thank you!
XO,
Kristen
Start talking with your parent or child with tips from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy:
The story of Starr's pregnancy has touched millions of lives and has certainly caused many young people and their families to think differently, to talk about teen pregnancy, and most importantly, to figure out their own views and values. The writers, producers, executives and most of all Kristen, Brandon and the cast have made these issues come to life in a powerful, thought-provoking way. With teen pregnancy in the news so much these past nine months, we know that Starr's story, along with so many real stories, has helped young people and their families realize that teen pregnancy happens in all kinds of families and all kinds of communities. It is 100% avoidable, but the first step is realizing that it can happen to you. Thanks to everyone at ABC and One Life to Live for telling this story so powerfully. Tell us YOUR story and learn more at stayteen.org.

Oh my gosh I can't believe its over! It seems like just yesterday that this all started =(
I want to start off by saying you did an amazing job with the birth scenes! I honestly dont think anyone could have pulled it off the way you did. And I'm sure it will just get better when Starr and Cole find out about the "death" of their baby. You and Brandon are going to do such a great job with those scenes. This whole s/l you have both been outstanding and definetly Emmy Worthy!
Next I wanted to say that video was awesome! I can't wait for the next one. I am sad to see the blog end though =(

Kristen,
Ths has been an incredible experience reading all ur blogs and I always look forward to it every friday! I loved reading ur views and thoughts on the show!! Thanks soo much for doing this!! I have rely enjoyed it and I find u to be a strong and talented person to be doing what ur doing!!!
Lots of love and best wishes!

wow, i am so amazed by how talented you are. This story line opened up my eyes a lot and helped me understand things. I think that you are the only person who could've handled this story line in such a mature manner. On fridays I was always looking forward to these blogs idk what I'm going to do now, haha. I am so excited to see what happens next my prediction is that jess/tess/bess will switch her baby with starr's. Hopefully all of this will bring starr and cole together because as we all know they are "sole" and they will find their way back to each other and work everything out. I also felt bad for jess/tess because she was all alone, whenever something big happens in life you always want and need your family and friends with you.
***Just to let you know when I went to watch the show this friday at 2 and it got interrupted by the news i happened to be very annoyed, i guess i'll have to watch the rest tonight at 9. Once again a job well done on this story line. I hope you have a great time at super soap weekend, I hope people take videos and stuff for people like me who can't go :( Can't wait for the other videos to come, this one was just great and also good job to brandon buddy he has been great through this story line and oltl couldn't have chosen anyone better for this story line. Sorry the blog is ending :(

Kristen,
I just want to say that im so proud of you for taking on such a controversial s/l i have enjoyed every minute of starrs story. I cant believe its over it seemed like only yesterday i was anticipating to see if starr was pregnant or not. This s/l has given you the chance to show such a different side to your character and you've grown so much in these past few months as a result. All the people involved in this story have done an amazing job i congratulate both you and OLTL for not backing down on Starrs story and although at times people wondered why Starr there was a message / story there and it was told beautifully. I can only hope that you and Brandon Buddy get teh recognition you both deserve for this s/l and i feel an emmy coming for you!! Thank you so much for this blog its been such a great thing to read and you truly are an amazing person. Keep up the fantastic work and thanks again!!

kristen i am so sad that this is the end of your blog...i enjoyed, or still enjoy, watching one life to live... i have it recorded by my dvr and i skip through the scenes just to see you and brandon... i love watching you 2... you make starr and cole come to life... and i just want to say congratulations to starr and cole, and espicially marcie, for the new baby girl... but how will they react when they find it dead... i don't get what the story writers are doing changing jess to tess and tess to bess... do you get it?????... i don't... omg i think i might cry when they do find their baby dead or if it does turn out into a happy ending and starr and cole get back together... that would be the most amazing thing ever!!!!!!... i am sososososososososososo excited about next week... does dr. joplin... give the baby back... or does bess take it before she can give it back... next week will be sosososo good... i can't wait... i will be 1 of one life to live's #1 fans'... well time to say goodbye... well thank you for the amazing show/storyline i loved i know i don't know starr and cole but i all ready love them like family!!!!! and i might see you at supersoap next week... yay... well bye to both you and the entire cast of one life to live... ps: i will all ways watch one life to live... byez lyllabs(love ya lots like a big sis)!!!!!

I have been a fan and watched you grow to be a young lady. You have certainly shared the story of a teenage pregancy and the impact it has not only on you and the baby's father, but also your family and those around you. You and Brandon make a geat super couple and hope your story lines continue to help other teenagers with the everyday struggles.

hey starr im happy for you and colo i like your video
Posted by: angela Barriett | November 08, 2008 at 01:59 PM
I hope that Starr and Cole get back together. Every episode I watch and hope that it happens! I also think you did an amazing job, i thought you were acually having a baby. I think the death of their baby will bring them back together and back to the way they use to be. Hopefully they find out that Jess has their baby and will decide to raise it together with the help of Marty.
I really wish the story line wasn't over, i thought it was the best! Now the next best thing will be for Starr and Cole to get back together :D

It will be strange to not have a blog to check each week. Thank you for taking the time out of your crazy schedule to write it. You are so brave for putting your beliefs out for the world to see. It's been interesting seeing this type of storyline from an actress's point of view. Your acting has been amazing and I wish you the best of luck in everything you do!

Wow Starr's pregnacy has gone by fast, just to think it feels like it was last week that Starr found out she was pregnant. I feel that you did a great job with this blog and i am so sad to see it go, but i am looking forward to how Starr, Cole, and family deal with the baby's "death".
You have done a great job protraying how it is to be a pregnant teen and i especally liked the birth scenes, they were so real they reminded me when my 17 year old cousin gave birth to her son and her reactions were about the same. Great job and i can't wait to see what OLTL has in store for us.
Posted by: tima | November 10, 2008 at 10:28 AM
I want to say that you have done an excellent job as well. I'd really like to see you get an Emmy!! I really liked this s/l.
But, I also think you should continue this blog and keep us posted on your day to day activities and what's it's like being Starr! We're really going to miss you!!!
Posted by: Leanne | November 10, 2008 at 01:39 PM
I to, cannot believe this is your last blog. I have been watching OLTL since I went off on my maternity leave on 2006 and to this day, cannot miss a show. Though currently working, I always look forward to reading the recaps and watching the episode through cable. I can’t wait to see what happens when Star and Cole finds out the truth about there baby. I hope that they decide on the long run to keep the baby. They are high school sweethearts and hope the best for both of them…and their family.

this is the most stupidest show ever. i am never watching it again. take it off the air. kristen ur so stupid.
Posted by: | November 11, 2008 at 09:01 AM
I agree with Megan! The birthing scenes were amazing! Especially for someone who has never actually given birth. And kinda off subject but why is Jess or Tess wait no its Bess now right, well yea, why is she carrying around her dead "child" still?
