Miller Family - Cheyenne, WY
Carter Brothers Construction received a phone call from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition asking us if we would be interested in building a new, healthy home for a family right here in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We were thrilled beyond words and petrified at the same time!
Cheyenne is a friendly, giving, and caring community, so Carter Brothers Construction knew there would be NO problem in saying: "YES," making the Miller family dream home come true. We even coined our slogan for the build... "Compassion, Teamwork, Community."
We could not have done this without all of our amazing volunteers! Thank you!!! All our 650 trades people, 200 suppliers, vendors and the 1400 volunteers who worked tirelessly, your support was tremendous.
We will always remember the friendships we made, the camaraderie we had and the experiences we shared, it definetly will last a lifetime!
What a Ride!!

I want to express how happy I was to see EMHE come to Cheyenne, WY!!! I was so happy to help and be apart of bringing the Miller family to a great new home buit by Carter Construction and all the volunteers, Ty, and the design team. I was also there for the concert and unveiling and was happy to see Wynonna. To Carter Construction...I want to say you guys did a great job with the help of all the volunteers and vendors that helped as well. And to EMHE I hope you guys had a great time here in Wyoming and hope you come back to visit us again sometime soon!

I missed the beginning of Extreme Makeover Home Edition last night because I was picking kids up from the YMCA. When I got home I turned it on and started doing laundry. I happened to look up at the TV when Dan Miller was talking. I shouted, "NO WAY"!!!! I immediately ran and got my high school yearbook and lo and behold it was my band buddy Dan Miller from Wasilla, Alaska. I was so excited. I am so happy for Dan and his family. The people at ABC and Extreme Makeover are wonderful. I live in Minot, North Dakota and was able be at the Bliven's build. I wish Dan and his family all the best! Dan was a great guy and so much fun to be around. Enjoy your new home, and God Bless!

I believe that everyone in this world has an angel watching over him or her, and everyone that’s behind extreme home makeover is just that. An angel, it’s amazing to know that there are so many people out there who would extend a hand to help out someone they may not even know. That, to me is a very respectable trait to have. Good luck on future projects, I’ll be watching! -Jennifer in Ohio-

The Carter Brothers and Lori Carter all did an excellent job at building this house. We need more kind people out there who are helping to build a brighter America for everyone. I love the show Extreme Makeover and would hope that you come here to Detroit, Michigan and give us not so fortunate people a hand at building a brighter future for everyone. I love all of you guys and your show. Just watching it brings in a ray of hope that angels are still out there. Thank you Extreme Makeover. I dont know what America would do if you were ever off the air. God Bless.

I have watched many of the Extreme Makeover Shows and just wanted to express my comments on how truly incredible you folks are. You are amazing. You are truly an inspiration to so many people. Your show touches my heart. Your job must be so rewarding. Sears and the other contributing companies such as Lumber Liquidators; you all must sleep so well as night. Bravo!!!!!!
