We all take risks. It’s what being human is all about -- anything from jumping out of an airplane, to climbing Mount Everest, to wearing a bright and flowery shirt. Today, I did the latter. While other people might wear outlandish clothing on a regular basis, I am more reserved. Much more reserved. I usually rock the black t-shirt and jeans, but I got this red-flowered cowboy shirt over the weekend and I thought today was the day to debut it. At first it seemed like a bad idea. Executive Producer, Josh Reims, couldn’t even look me in the eye without laughing. And staff writer, Jake Coburn, just shook his head at me in disbelief. Just when I was about to give up, the risk paid off. Donald Sutherland pointed at me, in what I’m pretty sure was out of approval, or it might have been about the fact that I delivered him a script. Either way, wearing the shirt was worth it.
In this week’s episode, “THE GAME,” Nick risks the trust he has established with Tripp when the Darling patriarch enters into a high-stakes poker game with billionaires and none other than Simon Elder. In a game where the sky is the limit and money is no object, real estate becomes the new bargaining chip. Will Nick betray Tripp in this battle royale in order to discover what Simon Elder knows about his father’s death?
The State of New York is playing a little game of their own on Karen when they refuse her application for a marriage license. Apparently, she’s still married to her third husband, the uber-hunk and anthropologist, Sebastian Fleet. To what lengths will Karen go to divorce her EX-husband?
Patrick’s Senatorial candidacy is in jeopardy when somebody tries to out his relationship with Carmelita. Exactly who is trying to play this card? And will Patrick call their bluff?
Jeremy lives up to the promise he made to his father and takes a job in the Darling Empire. Will he succeed or will he crash and burn in his new profession?
All of this and more in this week’s salacious episode, “THE GAME.”
Now I’m going to go back into the bathroom to check myself out in this shirt. Again. Damn, I’m hot.

oooh dane levin me love you long time

I'm already so excited to watch the episode. I just hope you're going to drop the mystery which revolves around the death of Nick's father soon, since that simply doesn't work for me as good as the characters do.

I must say tonight's episode certainly confirmed my love for this show & the fact that it has become my new favorite (which is saying a lot because I watch very little tv). It had the perfect amount of twists and turns and comedy and suspense. I just loved it.

Tonight's show was absolutely amazing all around! I love the chemistry between Tripp and Nick; and that twist at the end that showed that the two were working with each other during the poker game - that was so well done! The murder mystery is getting really exciting too!
I said this before, but this show just keeps getting better and better! I don't know if I'll be able to wait two more weeks before I can see the next new episdoe!
ABC - pick this show up already!!!!

Guys, thank you for NOT breaking my heart 1) by making Tripp a bad guy or 2) by messing up the great rapport between him and Nick! Those two are so good together, you'd swear they were father and son... hmmm???
THIS EPISODE WAS TERRIFIC!!

This episode of DSM was the best so far. I was starting to hate Nick for being so deceptive but I loved the suprise ending, it caught me completely off guard (that doesn't happen to me often). I wasn't really sure if I should dislike Simon Elder or Tripp but seeing Simon's plan for my city makes me officially hate him. NY is known for its skyline. What is he thinking!

yes, what was the last song in the episode? it was great. Would love to see a music list.

Love this show! Hope Karen goes back to her ex (he, along with Blair are the SEXY of Dirty Sexy Money). Dutch "forgot" to turn in the paperwork? I don't think so....
BTW, I love being able to watch the episodes online. I work nights and probably one of the few who don't have TIVO!

What is the red thread on the lapel of Tripp D's suits. Everyone of his suits in the last couple episodes has the red thread on the left lapel...? Does this have a meaning?

I absolutely loved the card game. I really believed that Tripp hated Nick in the moment I was like OMG.. Then for Tish to rip him like she did. it was so fantastic. Then the scene with the three bothers playing the car game. That almost brought tears to my eyes. It made you think about them for a minute more than just rich kids. It showed they really did like each other. Then the scene that really broke my heart was Brian and Brian Jr. the pancake scene. It was just so sweet and the whole backgammon thing. I wanted to melt. I am not sold on Brian yet but the way he really does loves his kids.. well that goes a long way with me.
Who else needed a bath after the scene in the car with Patty and Carmelita......

I was just casually watching this series as well as others hoping that something would become of it. Well, last week's episode 6, "The Game", did it for me. Very nice mixture of drama, suspense, plot twists and humor. I am now a comfirmed fan of the show. Keep up the good work!

I love Carmilita. What an interesting and delicious twist to throw into the mix. Something totally new and unexpected. Hope she gets more time in the plots. Lets see more and more of her.
Is there any bio on her?

For the last couple of years, I have been convinced that the networks could not keep pace with HBO - I was wrong - DSM is as good as The Sopranos and Six Feet Under!! Before DSM, I could NOT have named a show on ABC. Keep it up, great work.

Really love the show, it's the best thing on tv. I am totally rooting for Karen and Nick to hook it up! Also, love that Tish is going to help Karen scheme...nice twist. Think this proves that Karen is not Dutch's daughter?

I absolutely LOVE this show! Dirty Sexy Money is my new favorite show and I watch it religiously--- that is saying a lot because in the past 5 years there are only a few shows I actually take the time to watch-- The Sopranos, Nip/tuck, Desperate Housewives, and now my beloved DIRTY SEXY MONEY!
Please please please if anyone official reads this, let this amazing show have a second season, and have the chance to flourish and grow as it should! THANK YOU!

For me Six Feet Under was the best drama series ever done on TV. Really appreciated Peter Krause’s talent and was very anxious and glad to see him again in the new drama series Dirty Sexy Money. Certainly glad ABC picked it up for another season. Really love Krause, Sutherland, Baldwin, Clayburgh, Gabel, McLellan, Zea, Armstrong and what about that Glenn Fitzgerald, wow, what an actor! Sorry Peter, know you didn’t wish for another long run TV show, but it’s your fault, you shouldn’t have associated yourself with another great bunch of actors like that! I really think many viewers are more than fed up with doctors and/or violent cops and robbers show, just too many of them, they all look alike, storyline too repetitive. DSM has just the right mixture of humour, drama and sex appeal. As far as I’m concern, the only other new show who’s worth watching is Pushing Daisies, great cast and original synopsis, love the Tim Burton-ish atmosphere. My two cents.
