Is it alright if I don't really worry about the whole Ojai-thing? I HOPE that the cheap wine-idea gets a HUGE thumbs-down, because I'm tired of Holly's sense of superiorty.
AND I would like to see Saul gloat a bit with an "I told you so", but I fear that you will once again make out Holly to be super-woman and pull it off without a problem.
Kevin/Scotty sounds like it could be either be fun or drama, I do hope it will be more fun and not drama only. I'd rather see them work together than argue ever single discusion.
Glad that Sarah/Luc have a reality-check. Sometimes it's good to stop for a moment and look at what you're doing. Hope they make though.

Very solid episode! For the most part, these are the kind of slower, character-driven things you excel at and should focus on. I really like Nora's new guy. I liked that we finally saw a little realistic development of the Sarah/Luc story (although frankly I'm glad to be rid of him for a while.) Kitty was not the main character this time around, and I for one appreciate the change of pace. That said, she still gave some very moving performances. (On that note: no Kevin/Robert/campaign crud. Yay!)
The Kevin and Scotty stuff was adorable and of course well-acted. However, please, please, please throw out your formulaic playbook for them. Scriptwriting shouldn't be MadLibs, so how come I have their "1)amusing scene that lays the groundwork for later conflict, 2) fight, 3) apology (usually from Kevin) and a sweet conversation" timed almost to the second? They deserve better-developed material!
The scene with Kevin and Saul was amazing. Those two shine together, and we really got some insight into Saul re: children and family as well. He's so much better than the boring Ojai stuff you give him.
Rebecca's scene with David was really well-acted. Other than that, I just don't care. She needs to be an adult and tell Justin. And then abort (or miscarry, if you MUST).
Ojai and Ryan: still not caring. Still the plot-anchor dragging down the season (and yet...still marginally more interesting than Robert's campaign).

Love that Nora is exploring things with a younger man and as a result reexaming her own experience. Hate that Luc walked out on Sarah. Sad to say if he goes, so will I!
Love the whole Scotty/ Kevin dynamic. Hate that they always fight & would love to see them actually agree on something, at least once please!

The song played at the end of the show was "Winter Song" by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson

The show's been on 16 minutes so far (CA time). I freaking could NOT care less about Rebecca or her pregnancy.
I feel like I'm drowning in babies. This show is making me despise baby plotlines. Now Kitty can jiggle her baby and Kevin and Scotty can jiggle their baby and Rebecca and Justin can jiggle their baby. Ugh.
Have Rebecca get an abortion. I really don't need three baby plotlines, especially with Rebecca whining on the phone to Justin as I type that he has to drop everything and "come home" because she doesn't want to deliver news via the phone.
A child dies of starvation every 3.6 seconds. 15 million die every year. Have Rebecca go to Uganda to help alleviate hunger instead of whining about her little tiresome troubles.
Now Kevin is talking to Nora about fertility clinics. Oh, Sarah is talking to Luc at the wine tasting. I wonder if Sarah is going to want another baby? Perhaps you should space her next baby out. Another baby this season is probably pushing it.
Gilles is too nice a guy to get saddled with this dull family (I'm tired tonight. Nothing is inspiring me). If I were Gilles I'd take off.
This show is not near breaking the Nielsen Top 20.
I'm glad Gilles is leaving. He's a good guy and deserves better.
Ah. A sappy ballad is on. It must be 5 or 6 minutes till show's end.

Yup. The Kevin/Scotty-fights are becoming as predictable as the Justecca-ones last year.
But, as usual, the boys were wonderful to watch. Absolutely cute how they clicked the mouse together. Their faces as they see all the names on the screen. Hilarious! And Kevin's words at the end, just sweet. They will make wonderful fathers.
I just knew that Rebecca/Holly's plan would work and be THE thing to save Ojai and probably the whole economy of California. (How I WISH that you would have surprised me by letting it fail!)
And of course the only reason why it failed is not the fault of the super-Harpers, but of bad-bad-apparantly-a-Walker Ryan. Oh, puh-lease... I don't care much about the kid, but is there nothing better you can do with Ryan?
I loved Nora, above all during that summary on the stairs in her house. And the way she told off that Jane-person. :D
I loved Kitty's insecurity. Wow! I even liked Robert, what little we got to see of them. (See, even Robert seems better if he doesn't have scenes with Kevin that annoy me.)
I'm disappointed in Luc/Sarah. Sarah overreacted. Sure. But with her past with Joe and as a mother of two kids, I think she has a very good reason to ask questions.
Luc's reaction, though understandable, shows also a certain level of immaturity, so maybe Sarah was right to question him.
Kevin/Saul was as good as always.
I simply loved Justin in this episode. And Rebecca... Well acted, but Rebecca lost me in 3.15 and I just cannot seem to care about her anymore.

Loved Nora/Simon -- please bring back Jon Tenney -- he and Sally have great chemistry, screw the age difference!
Other than that, a really fun, entertaining episode. We do need Nora storylines front and center more frequently.

I would rate this episode as good, not great... too much Rebecca and pregnancy issue... Loved Nora/Sarah moment in the kitchen. Kitty was great and Robert ever faithful and handsome... Kevin and Scotty always enjoyable.
Thanks....

"It's this wig. It's like Robert isn't having sex with me, he's having sex with 'her'."
Reminded me alot of the time when Lynette had cancer in Desperate Housewives. The wigs were a big turn-off for Tom, her husband.

"You on the end, stand closer to your Mom please"
I know that situation will happen. It always does, yet the scene doesn't fail to make me laugh.
Having the doctor as a love interest, brings a fresh change into Nora's life. I like it. He brings a balance against Nora's personality. If she ever break it off with him, please give him my number :D

I liked the wine festival. They could have just put Luc's picture on the wine label and won the competition:)
The wine spill should be covered by insurance, no? I don't think they should give up on the whole wine idea after one problem.

Don't bring Rebecca to an abortion... this is not a reason to stop a pregnancy. There is never a "right time" to have a baby...
I hope that Justin will get the news and react in a mature way. Family is the first priority and he and Rebecca are about to became a family soon.
Please! This season was so good for them soo far, don't ruined it...

I'm still crying after last weeks episode...I loved the vulnerability on Kitty's face when Robert walked in.
Loved Saul's talk with Kevin.
Still wondering about the evil curly headed grey haired guy and Ryan, but still don't care.
Don't buy the Rebecca/Justin thing, it feels like a cliche I've seen too many times when the guy says "of COURSE I'm thrilled you are pregnant!" yawn, blah blah, move on. Bring back the Dooogie kid and Justin! They were funny:)

oh and as far as luc goes, haven't you ever had one of those hot hot hot relationships that just peter out after about a month for no reason?
I have.
Sorry Gilles. Thats Hollywood. And life.

I'm disappointed with the writing as of late...the subplot of Ryan and the Walker's advesary seems more like Dynasty and B&S. One of the reasons I enjoy the show is that the characters seemed to have real problems...now it seems like a soap opera...hope they fix it. Also, Rebeccas not mentioning her pregnancy to Justin is ridiculous...

I have two questions - If Nora is ready to date again, where is Roger?? And what ever happened to the 2 million dollar trust that Rebecca gave to Nora? It's Holly's money, she should give it back to her.

Good comments made! I love the Nora/dr storyline and want more mature stories. What's happening with Tommy, his wife & daughter that's really Kevin's? Yes, too many babylines. Get Sarah hooked up with a real responsible American guy with a company and not just a job.
What ever happened to last year's Nora's lover who got a divorce and the professor who went back to DC?
Ryan story has got to go along with him. He just doesn't fit into the show even though he's William's son, or is he?

What are the writers doing -dropping plot lines mid-way with no explanation? The first episode had a car crash coming with Justin and Rebecca. Next episode they were fine and no mention of car crash. A couple of episodes ago a friend of Scotty's was going to be the surrogate. Now they're looking for a surrogate with no mention of that woman? I feel like I've missed a couple of episodes but I know I haven't. I'm rapidly losing interest in this show.

Jeanne,
- there never was a car-accident. Rebecca used the breaks in time and the car past her by. It was a NEAR-accident. So her car didn't get damaged, there wasn't a scratch, and there was nothing to talk about in the next episode.
-Michelle will only CARRY the baby, but will not be the MOTHER. The mother of the baby will be one of those women Kevin/Scotty were throwing darts at. (Boy, does that sound stupid) :)

Having survived lymphoma (8 years in remission) and having lost my hair, I believe that you are handling the story great.. The worst thing that happend to me was losing my hair and having to show my husband my bald head. He reacted just like Rob Lowe did and you have no idea how great that felt.. Good job!!!
