This Sunday- Episode 324 "Mexico"
Written by Alison Schapker & Monica Owusu-Breen
Directed by Ken Olin
While searching in Mexico, Nora senses Tommy might be in deep trouble. She quickly inspires the rest of the Walker clan to come to Mexico and help save their brother. Meanwhile, Justin and Rebecca search for the right moment to tell the family about their engagement. Robert and Kitty work to create the terms of their separation. Kevin wonders if he can ever make amends with Tommy. Back at Ojai, Saul reveals he has another secret he is hiding from the family.
Alright folks, this is it: the Season Three finale. It's written by our amazing showrunners Alison Schapker & Monica Owusu-Breen. It's directed by our very own Ken Olin. And it airs on Mother's Day. What more could you want? Okay, don't answer that. I know, everyone wants McKitty back together. I know, everyone wants more storylines with Kevin-Scotty. I know, everyone wants Rebecca to put a stake through Ryan's heart and have him turn into a big pile of dust. More than anything, I know we all want storylines that highlight the characters we have come to know and love. That is always the goal.
Well, hopefully, this episode can bring the season to a satisfying end, while also setting up the major stories for next year. And yes, if you haven't heard, ABC has officially picked us up for another full season. That's another whole year with the Walkers! The writing staff is coming back to work in late May and will begin mapping out the story arcs for the year. After a week of brainstorming and planning, we will be pitching our story ideas to the studio and network. This should be a very exciting time. I know the other assistants and I are looking forward to watching the writers start from scratch (to use the cooking metaphor from previous posts). Not even the writers know what will happen next year. At least to me, that's pretty exciting!
Alright, I'm visiting the family in Texas, trying to enjoy a little free time before it's back to work at Stage 6. Everyone have a great Mother's Day. If you can, watch Sunday's episode with your mom!
Best,
Cole

I am so happy you are coming back for another year !!!!! YAY !!!!

Dear Cole,
You had me laughing out loud with that Rebecca/Ryan idea. It would have been a nice dream-sequence for Justin.
Thanks for acknowledging our posts. We probably won't get to see what we want and I strongly doubt we will ever be satisfied. Seriously, I could watch 40 minutes with Kevin, and I'd still complain there wasn't enough of him. I guess complaining is a part of human nature.
As to 3.24: I am hoping for a strong Kevin/Tommy moment, especially after what Kevin told Scotty in 3.22.
There is a lot of frustration in Kevin (and me) and I hope he will be able to get that out of his system. (and mine)
I have seen the sneak-peek of the meal they have, which was absolutely hilarious. And again, what a great cast it is, but especially Sarah, Kevin, and Nora had me laughing so hard.
Having read some spoilers I am curious how you guys will be able to do it and if it will look/feel good enough to give this season a good ending... I'm cautiously optimistic.
****More than anything, I know we all want storylines that highlight the characters we have come to know and love. That is always the goal.****
I'm sure it was, it is and always will be.
I guess, that certain viewers (like me) just have a little different opinion as to what those highlights are. ;)
Have a nice holiday with your family.
PS. I am assuming that there will not be any blogs the coming weeks and that this blog will not be updated either?

So grateful for your work. This TV show is my favourite in the last years, and I'm so relieved that we get another season.
I know you read here some negative comments, but please remember that not all the viewers write in forums and the fact that this show has such a high rating proovs that most of us love your work and appriciate it a lot. I have full trust in you to do your best.

Have fun in Texas Cole, and I hope everyone has a nice break.
(You forgot wanting Kevin to quit. Agh! I can't make myself stop. "It's like I have Tourette's.")

Love this show!

Cole, props to you for this:
"What more could you want? Okay, don't answer that. I know, everyone wants McKitty back together. I know, everyone wants more storylines with Kevin-Scotty. I know, everyone wants Rebecca to put a stake through Ryan's heart and have him turn into a big pile of dust."
+ FREE KEVIN, naturally
Tell me, are you implying Ryan is an actual vampire? There was speculation going on... so, does that make Rebecca Buffy? Awesome!!!! Though Buffy would never work in an office...
But, just because you know what some of us want, does not mean we'll stop complaining until we get it, you do realize that, do you? Call it Tourette's, call it a broken record, I call it a mission.
Have fun in Texas and
FREE KEVIN :)!

Ops, me again:
I can only speak for myself, but I would indeed stop complaining if you freed Kevin from Robert and gave him a decent storyline. I don't need nor want 40 minutes of Kevin.
Just some substance in his SLs, him being a lawyer again, away from Robert, voilà. All is good in the world. And I shall only see rainbows and unicorns.

I'm happy for the next season!
I promise I would stop complaining if you free Kevin from Robert!!!
I also shall only see rainbows and unicorns if Kevin is away from Robert. LOL

It's great to know that the staff here at B&S actually listens to the fans and read the post and realize that this is as much the fans show (even though we don't put in the hard work to make the show happen) as it is the writers/creators--because we are all invested (sometimes deeply) in these fictional characters that we wish could be real at times--thats what makes great TV and thats why I started watching this show, because of the characters and the acting. Even though this season isn't everyones favorite, it was still great and had some wonderful moments. Can't wait to see what's in store for next year.

My dear writers,
I just want to say that because some posters "complain a lot", "sound like a broken record" or "have Tourette's" (SO Kevin, S.L! ;) ) does NOT mean they don't love this show.
Like I said earlier, just because I disagree with your ideas of certain story-lines, I can and DO respect the effort you put into it.
But it's hard to stay positive if you see your favorite character become some person you don't recognize, to serve a character you just don't care about.

Good to hear there is another season to come. There is a bunch of us here that can´t wait. Keep up the good work.

Hey Cole, thanks for yours and Elysse's regular updates and acknowledgement of reading our comments.
I second Tori's post and the FREE KEVIN Campaign. For S4, I look forward to seeing meaningful SLs for Kevin, him returning to his legal roots and staying away from Robert.
This season wasn't the best from my POV but it did have some wonderful moments which I will treasure and hold on to.
I won't be able to watch the finale with my mum unfortunately but I will be watching!
Have a great break back home :)

Props for the imaginary image of Rebecca puncturing Ryan's chest with some Ojai Foods produce, maybe 2 corns.
And, I mean this in the most comical way, if the writers or show runners still are not done with illegitimate children of the Walker family, let's give something to Kevin. Since Matthew Rhys is Welsh, let's have Nora do a well-kept once-off affair with a Welsh man, thereby having Rhys do a Welsh accent, which is totally sexy btw, on the show officially. LOL.
I agree with everything Sylviane said above. To Cole, I don't think I want McKitty back together; Kitty paired up with Baby-Park-Daddy: YES.
I am happy to be in the cult of the Walker Family. Love 'em to death (secretly all of them except Kitty and Tommy).

First, to repeat this from Sylviane: "Just because I disagree with your ideas of certain story-lines, I can and DO respect the effort you put into it." I still think that, at the end of the day, a poor/unsatisfying episode is still better than many episodes of other TV shows out there today.
I think, more than wanting any changes to happen, I want them to happen WELL. I don't want to just see things reset or wrapped up quickly, without taking into account character motivations, etc. For example, if Kevin quits his job (I can hope, can't I?), I want it to be because he realizes it's wrong for HIM to be there, not (just) to support Kitty. That would mean his story and his actions are still being dictated by the Robert (/Kitty) storyline, instead of what's right for him as his own character/person. Of course, that may be hard to do since you have made such a point of how much he "loves" his job, but I have faith you can handle that!
And if Robert and Kitty do get back together (ugh), then I want to see sincere apologies and efforts to discuss and compromise on both sides, not just "Oh, I love you, I miss you" mushy crap. Don't just sweep things under the rug! You wrote the characters into their respective situations, so I really hope you take the care to write them out of them, if that makes any sense.
Looking forward to the season finale, but I hate the idea of no new episodes for a while!

Of course this season has had highlights as well. I know that posts are about what is wrong with it, but yes, I can still enjoy 3.10 very much.
Not just how the kids find out that Nora will be alone with Sarah for thanksgiving, but also how they try to 'solve' it.. Still so funny to watch.
Tommy's tears for Elizabeth still get to me. (which is why I cannot wrap my head around it that he woulds 'simply' abandon her like that. And I hope I will get an answer that works for me in the next episode.)
And I still believe that it was nice to see a scene where Kevin supports Scotty and deals with Scotty's (and probably his own) fears.
I think it was also the only time, in all episodes, there ever was a Tommy/Kitty scene?

feel that what the actor brings to the series is very poor, barely believable in his character, it lacks naturalness, charisma and is totally boring as demonstrated in the interview he gave luke and emily vancamp (rebecca) in Q & As B and S. Emily however is very sweet, fresh and charismatic. With regard to the romantic plot that revolves around Ryan, rebecca and justin is very predictable that it was to see an attraction between Ryan and Rebecca.
I hope the fourth season has surprises and new characters and having a touch of humor of the first season and the drama that prevailed in the series, I think for the 4th season Ryan should die or go away with a clear disappearance or a death justified.
Ahh should find another actor to put problems in the relationship of justin and cardigan. It does not hurt to include a Latino actor as they did with Cristian De La Fuente. Brothers and sisters is my favorite series and ah Chapter 23 of last Sunday was great.

Sylviane and SL - I'm happy to hear from you positive things, it's refreshing :)
At the end of the day we all love the Walkers and wouldn't place them in anything else.
I always said that I loved this season very much, and the most important thing for me was to see Justin and Rebecca in a good shape finally. You have to admit the proposal scene was great... (even if you're not their fan...)
But I hope that your wishes for Kevin will fulfill. I don't find him working for Robert that bad, but if you hate this so much - than I support you. (Just dont start with my favourites)
:)
Hope we all enjoy the season finale, and thanks again to the writers!

you could at least warn people that there were spoilers on the posts...
what a lack of respect for the viewers.

Thanks Cole for all your hard work and good TV!!! I'll miss the series but I understand... Rest in Texas, stop-by (Cedar Hill, TX), and have a meal we can discuss new topics.
One thing PLEASE KEEP TOMMY!!! No Walkers can leave the show (in the contract). Also, LOL re: Ryan, poor Ryan, it was funny!! Fix his eyes if he comes back next season. Let Ryan be a stalker or OD on drugs.
Have a great summer.

The storyline has been very interesting in the last few episodes - I do not agree with the Kitty/Robert storyline and with Tommy leaving the show, too many of the Walkers will be divorced.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the episode. I'm on minute 10 of nothing but blank static. My ABC affiliate will be getting a strongly worded e-mail.

So disappointed in this episode! Have followed the show all season. Glad Rebecca and Justin will be together. Ryan is a horrible character, do get rid of him. Way too much drama and not enough soul. There has to be some realization, at some point. If you get too crazy you will loose your followers, as Desperate Housewives did.

I actually like Kevin and Robert working together -- keeps their politics interesting and I like Kitty and Robert married. If Robert ran for President again then it would make for a perfect spinoff if need be.
