This Sunday- Episode 321 "S3X"

Chad Barry

Written by Cliff Olin & David Marshall Grant
Directed by Laura Innes

Love is in the air.  Roger returns to Nora with a new proposition.  Sarah returns to Ojai and meets a sexy new coworker.  Kevin's ex Chad returns and is suprised to learn Kevin is now married.  Ryan is still crashing on Rebecca's couch, and Rebecca invites him to dinner with her parents.  Kitty continues bonding with Alec, one of the fathers at the park.  Meanwhile, she and Robert are still having problems connecting.

It's great to be back on the air after a month!  This was a really fun episode for everyone on the Writers' Floor to work on.  Hopefully it's equally fun to watch!  Look out for Jason Lewis, returning as soap star Chad Barry.

Lots of sexy times in this episode if you couldn't already guess by the title.  Kevin/Scotty fans, tune in for some good shirtless making out.

Keith

That would be fun!

Keith

Kevin looks like he wants to bite his head off....to me, at least.

trinity yanson

so looking forward to this episode since i'm one of the hard core kevin/scotty fans. thanks writers for granting our wishes. more power and see you in season 4.

Sylviane

Seen the sneak-peeks. And THOSE were already enough to make this a good episode again and give me courage to sit through Ryaneccca.

I'm happy to see that there are Kevin/Sarah moments. ALWAYS a joy to watch. I cannot remember a scene between them that didn't work. Rachel/Matthew is such a good combination.

I am happy to see Chad back. I have often wondered what happened to him after he came out and he broke up with Kevin. (I think he was right to break up with Kevin at that point.) I know a lot of fans didn't like him, but I did.

And it is nice to see Jason Lewis with another Walker than Kevin. I wish that poor Chad could have sat through a Walker-dinner just ONCE. :)

The episode sounds like a good one to watch and I look forward to it...

(On a more shallow note: YEAH!!! to Kevin/Scotty 's shirtless making out!Sorry, couln't resist reconnecting with my inner-teenager!)

Rachel

So childish... "Kevin/Scotty fans, tune in for some good shirtless making out"
WOOW this is soooo lame..

Jamie

Roger and Chad are a lot of fun, but please tell me we're going to get Henry back one of these days... maybe even with lines this time? John Glover is such a good actor, and Saul never has enough to do.

Ana

I don't like Chad but I'm happy for the shirtless making out between Kevin and Scotty.

I agree with Jamie I want to see Henry back.

S.L.

Meh. Not to sound like I can never be happy with the show, but I was a lot more excited about the prospect of shirtless kissing back when we first heard about it. I didn't know you guys were going to ignore K&S entirely up until then, so now it feels weak. "Oh, we've forgotten to give them actual plots - let's have them take off their clothes and make out, and all their fans won't even notice!" Not to mention, the "plot" where the ex shows up and throws a potential kink (and I mean that in more ways than one) in the works? Lame and trite. Hopefully I'm wrong and this is a great episode. Hopefully.

Speaking of lame and trite, is Sarah capable of having a work-related plot without dealing with a "sexy co-worker"? It's frankly disrespectful to the character. I'm not saying she doesn't deserve a little action, but you don't get to be a successful and intelligent businesswoman (as this show at one point tried to portray her) by sleeping with every man you meet professionally. Unless you're Holly.

Focus on the positive, S.L.: Sarah and Kevin scenes - always great! Seeing Scotty for more than 2.5 seconds - even better! Kitty and Robert problems - Whoo hoo! (Get those two divorced, already!) Finally, a new episode - yay!

curious how this is supposed to be an episode which actually features Kevin and Scotty yet they have been left out of the promos

i am also really hoping that there is more of a plot going on there than what has already been leaked

ps:Chad is annoying, I never bought that he would be with someone like Kevin in the first place. I mean it was funny and made for good drama but there was 0 chemistry between them, no wonder he jumped straight back in bed with Scotty.

Yrsa

God I'm so excited about the new episode...a month is a long time to wait!

the sneak peaks looks good, set up for some high comedy!

only two days left now! and YAY SHIRTLESS KEVIN/SCOTTY!!!

Annette Muwanga

brenda hernandez

CACommie

Hi Writers, Just wondering if we could get some interaction with the gardeners, house cleaners, vineyard laborers, etc. who so far have been invisible in a show about family and labor in S. CA? Couldn't Nora's liberal heart bleed a little for a housekeeper or Rebecca's loins flame for a hottie laborer at the warehouse?

Big fan

do you think Tommy will ever come back?

Lucas

How come none of you were there to accept the GLAAD media award for Outstanding Drama Series? Too busy?

babshoover

I can't believe what I just saw on this show, thanks abc for shoving homosexuals down our throat, this network is getting notorious for that, i am so disgusted and my son was sitting there with me and we couldn't believe what we were seeing, i will never in a million years watch this show again, shame on you Sally Fields! What has happened to this country?

Jen Westbury

so, got a tornado watch and i missed the last 15 minutes!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED???????

ELLE

The Ryan character reminds me of the vampire on Twilight.I just do not think he fits the character.

JoAnne

what a shame the best show on television has turned into a prime time soap opera.

sarah

What was the last song they played on this episode?

me

who is Cal? the actor i mean. he is pretty sexy

S.L.

Hmm. I have to say, I was right. Tonight's ep felt like a bit of a let-down. I mean, don't get me wrong. Hellooooo, Kevin and Scotty. And I will take whatever scraps of a storyline you guys allow us to actually have.

But I wanted more. I wanted to actually see them discuss it (and no, 5 seconds at the end of the episode didn't count). There was a moment where they were interested - why? Was it because it was Chad? Because it was exciting? Because they had been frustrated lately? They really do need to be on the same page as to what that means for their relationship now and in the future. I wanted to see that. If the point of this plot was to deal with the issue of open marriage, particularly within homosexual couples, then you all did a really poor job of dealing with it.

As it is, it just feels like a cheap plot to get us K/S fans to squee and overlook the fact that their relationship has been back-burnered.

And random observations: I really don't understand the layout of that apartment - was it just me or did Scotty go into the kitchen after he said he was going to bed? Also, you couldn't have had a throwaway moment where Chad recognized Scotty from the Valentine's party?

I love Sarah and Kevin scenes.

I'm glad Roger left again. I really did not like him for Nora. He may be all suave, but she deserves someone who treats her with respect and he didn't, not when it counted.

Oh, there were scenes with Holly, David, Rebecca and Ryan? I didn't notice. That's what my mute button is for!

Cali

I love Cal was hoping he'd be back as a new love interest for Sarah...
