We're still busy as bees around here, but the end of Season 3 is near...
Breaking: 324 (The Season Finale!)
Writing: 323
Shooting: 322
In your more immediate future, here's what's coming down the pipeline:
Episode 315: "Lost and Found" by Jennifer Levin & Michael Foley
We want to tell you who's lost and who's found, but instead we'll let you guess amongst yourselves (for now). At the end of Sunday's episode, this will all be more clear.
Episode 316 & 317: "Troubled Waters, Part One & Two" by
Monica Owusu-Breen & Sherri Cooper-Landsman (Part One), Molly
Newman & David Marshall Grant (Part Two)
This two-hour special
will go down in B&S history because it's... the episode when Elysse
started working here. (Jokes!) But seriously, everything that's been heating up all
season will finally come to a boil. Expect new additions to the Walker family. After this special-- everything
changes. All of Stage 6 has been brimming with excitement over this eventful episode.
Episode 318: "Taking Sides" by Michael Foley & Beth Schwartz
Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Pasadena where we lay our scene...
Episode 319: "Spring Broken" by Sherri Cooper-Landsman & Brian Studler
This was Brian's first episode as a staff writer (congrats!), and
Sherri's last episode before giving birth to a beautiful baby boy
(congrats!!!!!). We thank her for drinking lots of water and staving
off the labor long enough to finish writing this episode. Also-- there
is a live donkey in this episode, we kid you not.
In the meanwhile... check out the B&S main website for more behind-the-scenes Ask Brothers & Sisters videos. A little birdie has told us that new interviews are being filmed very soon. For now, you'll just have to watch Dave & Matthew's Q&A over and over and over...
Love and a half,
Colelysse

Thanks for this update.
Sad to read that you're working up to the finale already. This means several months of no B&S, no blogs, no updates.
I hope you will give us a positive finale like "Matriarchy" was. It was sad with Justin going to Iraq and all, but at the same time it ended on hopeful note and it was fun to see all the Walkers end up in the pool. (What happened to that pool anyway in season 3? I miss it.)
Season 2 ended on such a sad note, with the Ryan-nonsense, the Justecca-kiss and Nora having to find out that William cheated on her with not just Holly, but also another woman.
I hope it will at least end positively where Kevin/Scotty are concerned. (Like Kevin quitting his job with Robert. "subtle hint" A girl can hope, right?)
With so many shows being cancelled, I hope B&S gets a fourth season. It is still my favorite series...

Yeah, about that Q&A with Matthew Rhys and Dave Annable? A real treat. I've watched it again and again and again and again and then one more time. Thank you so much for that!

It has always been a Walker tradition to have hiccups in an event.
From planning a simple dinner for Kitty's social walker to her baby shower.
Nora, as usual, gets overly excited. I wish my mother would be like that sometimes...
Just as I was thinking that the writers are abandoning the other Walker (Ryan), since he haven't been mentioned for weeks --- he finally calls the Walkers!
You bad, bad writers, letting most of us think that the silent calls were from Roger's wife. (lol)
Kudos again, for another good episode.

Hey Cole & Elysse,
Thanks for the update.
Will Justin get his own storyline that doesn't have to do with Rebecca for once? I think he deserves better.
Please tell Sally Field she does an awesome job playing drunk and overemotional Nora.
Also, thank you for not having any Kevin/Robert work-related scenes in 3.14. Nicely done.
Daniel,
The last song was "Running to Stand Still" by U2. Brilliant song.

Hi Cole & Elysse,
What is the episode title for 3.20 that is shooting right now? I've noticed that 3.16 & 3.17 episode title has been changed as well.
@James: That is John Glover who plays Henry, Saul's boyfriend.
@Crystal: That's is Luke Grimes who plays Ryan Lafferty.

it was an ok episode for me. i just wish there's more kevin/scotty scenes. anyway, ryan wasn't bad at all, saul's boyfriend was great, and i'm glad nora didn't accept roger's proposal of open marriage-that's not the nora that we knew and loved. thanks B&S and more power to you all...

Not a bad episode. Not enough Kevin/Scotty, but then there NEVER is for me.
Saul and Henry were just great, I do hope we get to see more of them.
I agree that Nora made the right decision in the end regarding Roger. And I watched the Nora/Holly scene like a guilty pleasure. I don't like Holly, but Patricia Wettig is a very good actress.
It was great to see Julia again! I really like her.
I'm still not overjoyed with Ryan, but I will give him a chance. He COULD be interesting.
And do we HAVE to continue watching Justin/Rebecca make out? It's such a bitter reminder of what we will NOT be allowed to see for Kevin/Scotty and what seems to have gone lost between Robert and Kitty as well. It's too bad that the romance for those two couples has vanished so fast.

I have to say that i actually got excited when we thought Kitty was going to take that job. I'm still not on board with the whole adoption thing. I think its time for Sara to be paired up with someone. She's been alone too long. I agree with Sylviane the romance seems to have vanished where Robert and Kitty are concerned. There hasnt been one episode that i didnt love. You guys never fail to deliver. Keep up the awesome job!

I agree with Sylviane. I was never a fan of the Justin and Rebecca romance (and not because of the sibling thing - because I dislike Rebecca and think she takes away from the Justin character). But with a love scene in practically every episode, it seems, I've never hated them more.
Since this show CLAIMS to treat every couple equally, and you have two couples who have been married around a year, how about we spread some of the romance around a bit? Hold off on yet another shot of Rebecca and Justin going at it until you give us AT LEAST one more fully-clothed, faces-obscured, two-second long kiss between Kevin and Scotty.

Great episode, except, and I know this is a tv show, but I think it's out of character for Robert to have not discussed his desire to want to run for governor with Kitty. I'm sure it helps with the storyline but to me it doesn't when a character does something "out of character". And I'm not a big fan of this whole Ryan storyline either - been down this road already haven't we? But the BEST part of this episode was seeing Ken Olin again!! Yeah!!
Posted by: betty | February 10, 2009 at 05:28 AM
Oh, yeah, I forgot to say Ken Olin looks great. His character is the only one I like in the Harper branch!
Also, Betty, I respectfully disagree - Robert seems to be the only one who is behaving in character these days. From the very beginning, he's been portrayed as very ambitious and independent in his career decisions (and rather neglectful of his spouse and children). I doubt - or would hope - any husband in real life would keep that information from his wife, but it's certainly in keeping with what we know of Robert.

I agree, as much as I dislike the Robert/Kevin story=line for the terrible impact on Kevin's character, I feel that Robert is still the same Robert he always was.
He talked to Kitty when her life's plans co-incided with his, but now that they are on different pages, he will simply go for what he wants without considering her.
Although, in all honesty, I also think that Kitty would be the only one who could actually STOP him, because he DOES love her.
Which is probably the reason why he didn't want her to know. He doesn't want to be stopped by anyone.
(If that makes any sense?)
