That's right -- there's a new kid on the...blog. Leonard Koplitsky has been following McCallister and his presidential campaign around with a video camera. Though he works for the rival Adamson campaign, Leonard is quickly becoming intimate with the Walkers in ways you'll never see on Brothers & Sisters. And I mean that in the least salacious sense.
Check out Leonard's weekly blog, McCallister & Me.

"Dirty Sexy Money" premiere.
It's not even 6 minutes in yet. And already I am SO sick of slick, broadly-drawn, ultra-polished, high-concept shows. If there is such a thing as the OPPOSITE of personal filmmaking, pesonal storytelling, this is it (yes, it's all this - only 6 minutes in).
15 minutes in. Did Donald Sutherland just say, "Let me put my nuts on the table"...? This is not boding well. There's a very electronic, very synthetic music background thumping away...to jazz things up. Already I hate this thing. Give it a chance, Will. It's the first episode.
Peter Krause's character is talking to "Jeremy Darling"...who the writers want us to feel is delightfully eccentric. Oh god this f-ing background music; truly disspiriting. It's so relentlessly UPBEAT behind the story... which is itself so bland, slick, generic. And nondescript. The music is so desperately trying to SELL YOU a bill of goods, telling you how "hip" this conceptoion is, like those damned dancers at a Broadway show....who are always "ON".
OK. These are minutes I will never get back. Oh, look, Dan Rather is thrown into the mix (talking to William Baldwin, who has a transexual lover). This thing wants so badly to be a "Dynasty" or a "Dallas".... Oh f--k this damn music again. This thing is dead. Dead on arrival. The frenetic, LOUD musical score is a symptom of something. 46 minutes in. I can't make it through to the end. Sorry.

Hope the Season 1 premiere opens will a LARGE family dinner.... 360 degree tracking shot around the dining table "eavesdropping" on the various family members. Oh course Kevin & Kitty are fighting over something or other. Lots of food being passed around, NO AGENDA here, just ambience. Just witty, fresh, slightly "dysfunctional" sibling dialogue - like we all have at family gatherings.
EVERYBODY enjoys these meaningful "nothing" moments. ("nothing" as in no plot has to be advanced).

Will, I agree with you about "DSM." Not much to like there. "B&S," on the other hand, had compelling, interesting characters that I *liked* from the start. I know working on a show is such a group effort, and I hope the DSM folks find some success, but I don't think I'll be there to see it.

John: Hope this doesn't come across as too callous, but... I hope "Dirty Sexy Money" finds NO success & tanks quickly. Why clutter the airwaves with one more rotten show? That is a time slot that might actually be filled with "quality" entertainment (or, WHATEVER, I'm a pessimist, but at least something not so blatently rotten).

I really love Brothers & Sisters, the show has alot of heart, and really hits home on alot of the family issues...However, I seriously think you have crossed the line with the gay minister role. It doesnt enhance the show at all, it actually takes away from it.

My husband and I have watched Brothers and Sisters since the beginning. We enjoy it very much but we are very offened with the homosexual protion of it and I am asking that it be removed. It ruins an otherwise very entertaining show.

Can you put the music guide back that you had last season?

I love brothers and sisters, I cannot wait for Sundays, simply the best TV on. Sally Field is well, absolutley fantastic and angelic.
I think that the homosexual aspect of the show does not take away, it qualifies the value of humanity and family living. The show characterizes an awareness of acceptance.

Who sang "Heavenly Days (Daze?)" on the episode that played October 28?

I have a question for the producers and/or other bloggers: What is the name of the original song of the show? Thanks!

Well-After watching the 2 gay guys kiss--turned the channel and watching this show no more! Have young son in the house and very disappointed to see this. No problem talking about gay--just the kissing is a little much!

I refuse to watch the good "friend" of Hugo Chavez on your show...what a disappointment for ABC to sink to the level of giving someone who probably has no other offers a job. Or was it Sally (peacenik) Field's idea? Is she a Chavez fan also?

I love Dirty, Sexy Money and can't wait for it to return...soon I hope. The acting and writing are of an A+ level.

I really hate the fact that are family t.v. show have to have so much gay right. I really like this show and I dvr it. I would like you to know that when it is going into the gay parts I fast forward them all. So that make me and my family have to wait until the show is over so we can view it. I really think its disgusting. I really like Sally Fields and thats why I started watching the show. I know my opinion won't matter so I guess I need to quit dvring the show. I just don't now why our tv show just can't think of values anymore instead of ratings. Thank you for at least reading this and maybe it will be will put a little thought into someones mind for awhile.
