Outfest Welcomes... BROTHERS & SISTERS!

Things around here are fairly humdrum, aside from the occasional illicit trips to Valley parking lots for the purpose of securing caviar.  That and the usual water cooler talk about which exciting guest stars will be on the show this year and how many trillions of dollars they'll cost.  Sometimes, this television business is awfully remarkable (rarely remarkably awful, I'm thankful).

Missing you, as always.  We're nothing without you.

I do want to bring it to your attention that Brothers & Sisters will be featured in a panel for the Outfest Film Festival.  It's on Saturday, July 21, at 1:30 pm, at the Director's Guild of America, on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles.  Executive Producer Ken Olin will moderate, and the panel will feature show Creator Jon Robin Baitz, Sally Field, writer David Marshall Grant, Rachel Griffiths, Matthew Rhys, Ron Rifkin and PatriciaWettig. For tickets, please visit www.outfest.org.

We promise to write more frequently.

Love,
B&S assistants.

It is relatively okay if you don't write HERE, as long as you are writing THERE.
(can't wait for the fall season to begin! I miss them!)

Hi All,

I use to watch B&S when it all kicked off when i lived in Vancouver - and i was HOOKED! I got back to Australia (where i am from) and found that it was just starting up. I did sit thru some episodes that i had previously seen (and LOVED them all again!) and now, as of next Monday, we are up to the season finale! I am so upset, and so is my equally addicted sister, as we both feel as this is one of the best shows on tv, and one of the best for YEARS! Also so great that our "sister" Rachel G is really making a name for herself and is just excellent in the show. We love eacch and every character (as i am sure there is someone that we can all relate to)and hope that it NEVER ends!! A "bloody well done mate" to the writers and all staff who are involved in the making of our favourite show - Brothers & Sisters :)

oh I so wish I could come to that!! and meet all the people behind such an amazing show! maybe you all want to come to New York and do a panel here??
thanks for writing and looking forward to reading more blogs!

Don't make promises, you 'can't' keep : )

Happy Days of Summer are here! Loving that!! Still catching the repeats of Brothers and Sisters on Sundays, although I've already watched them repeatedly on my recorded dvds : )

Stay away from fires!

How can we see this panel on line will there be a link to a website for viewing it?

I'm actually going to be in town for that. I guess I'll have to make a trip to Outfest.

Can someone tell me how to get a copy of Kevin's quotation of Rilke's comments on love -- as Kevin talked to Chad several episodes back. It was beautiful and I'd like to include it in my wedding readings.

Isn't it about time for a REAL blog-update with some real series info? I mean, we're FANS here damnit! (posting in the middle of a long, hot hiatus). Wet our whistle already! What in the heck is going on? You're a frigging great TV show - don't act like this is all "top secret" or something.

OK. Let's start with Kevin's love interests. Give us a general arc. Name some names (Is Eric Winter planning to come back & charm us more as that "straight-laced" minister? I'm not following any B&S gossip. Talk please).

BTW, on a side note, I kinda like the idea of Kevin hooking up with a "straight-lace" sort of conventional guy. Just keep them both mildly neurotic. I LOVED when Jason & Kevin "met angry" & it kind of stayed that way for a while. This adds spark. Frisson. Or even that physics term, "fission" (it keeps things lively & poppin').

And I hope this is a season we all get to see Sally Field break out of the "mom" mold a bit (or at least augment her motherliness) & explore life a little on her own terms. I mean, all the kids are grown up! Get her into politics (opposing Kitty of course) or give her some unusual storyline that gets her out of the house & gives her more to do (we all LOVE just looking at her; camera loves her, too). I'd like to see a "bright independant woman" side of Nora - along with the sweet, mildly ditzy & all-american mom (OK, maybe I should just queue up "Norma Rae" on Netflix!).

At any rate, hope all is going well & all you writers are GOADING each other into creative inspiration. You guys do the funny & sarcastic banter better than anyone else on TV....& I miss the nifty, caustic dialogue. Don't go crazy with a "gay" Uncle Saul storyline. But, as always, we trust you guys. Who've managed to keep Kevin interesting & individually gay: & not some mouthpiece for social change. You change hearts & minds by example & Kevin's a great individual & all-around nice guy. He's "positive" without hopping on the soapbox. :)

HELLO.

IS there anything you can tell us about Eric Winter's character on the show?

I know that he is going to be mentioned on the first season and maybe will see him for a brief second. Is there a possiblity that he might be back for more than one episode.

Or have we seen the last of Eric Winter?

Saw B & S tonite for the first time and last.
TRASH WITH A CAPITAL T. Actors apparently without any moral standards. Trash! I am angry but also feel a deep sadness that America and no doubt other places that receive our programs have this kind of sick stuff smeared in our faces. I wasn't expecting it--just as many innocent children weren't, no doubt. I will rejoice greatly when BS crashes and burns.
