What We Do

Greetings, loyal viewers.  I thought I'd drop you a little bloggy postcard from boiling Burbank, California, where today there was a commencement ceremony of sorts happening right outside our little stages, on the Disney lot. Lord knows why.

Our titular creator, Robbie Baitz, who often contributes commentary to the Huffington Post, has asked me to link you to a cartoon of his they've published.  He drew it during a lull in the writers room, and I hope you'll enjoy it.  It's called The Nation And Me.

You are smarter than me. But I can speak louder.

Yes, your date is right, but when I wrote that post I SWEAR all we'd heard was August.  Let this be an instructive peek into a vast corporate empire capable of moving mountains, but also capable of letting uninformed nitwits run blogs. 

But yes, September 18 is looking to be the date. 

Sp0ilers?  Not today, boys and girls.  But perhaps in the future. 

Allow me to welcome a couple of folks into the Brothers & Sisters family -- Mark Perry, our wonderful new showrunner, has brought years of experience on "The Wonder Years," "One Tree Hill," and most recently, "What About Brian" into our fold.  He's also brought his shiny new assistant, Andrew Major.  Other new writers include the brilliant Jennifer Cecil and Liz Tigelaar, and a fabulously on-the-ball writers' assistant, Beth Schwartz.

It's going to be something special.  Have a great weekend.

Season Two

Hello dear B&S fans.

Just wanted to drop a note and let you know our writers are back on the Disney lot, hatching the storylines that will keep you obsessing -- thoughtfully, of course -- about the Walker family during your free moments.  Having been in and out of the room a few times, I can tell you there is some SERIOUS watercooler fodder in the making.

To quickly answer a couple of questions I saw while sifting through the last two weeks of blog comments:

1.  The show is tentatively scheduled to return to ABC on Sunday, September 23.

2. There is no confirmed release date of the Season One DVD; however, we think it will be in August.
