Insert Tired "I'll Be Back" Joke Here
I have to tell you all about one of the more surreal moments to happen behind the scenes so far. This past Monday the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger - he of epic terminating infamy - visited the cast and crew of our show. He came not merely as a spectator, but to bestow upon the show a "Certificate of Recognition." According to his speech during the ceremonial presenting of the award, the "Recognition" we are receiving is for keeping our production in California, helping to create and maintain jobs and revenue for the state. With so many productions choosing to outsource to Canada or elsewhere, he saw fit to bestow upon us a certificate to show his appreciation for our ongoing efforts to employ the unionized members of the greater Los Angeles area.
He stayed for a while after the presenting of said certificate and watched the filming of a few scenes. It was a delightful honor and refreshing break from the ordinary to have him here and to receive this honor, and we thank him immeasurably. Below are a few pics from his visit.

Sorry about the lack of light . . .
Calista and Dave Annable Get in on the Gov Action
Look for a post later today about last Sunday's episode and other goings ons around here.

So I guess a guest starring role is out of the question then, huh? A possible contender against Sen. McCallister... wouldn't that be something.

Rather curious, did you spell the Governor's name wrong on purpose?

This is a really wonderful blog. I have only just read the blog and not make comments, but I just want to say I really appreciate the time you guys take to write it. I love all the stories and insights that you all share; it makes me love this show even more (if that's even possible). So basically, thank you very much for this great blog!

Art: Speaking of "outsourcing to Canada", didn't "Brokeback Mountain" shoot its Wyoming exteriors in Canada? Hey, let's have Kevin take a camping trip to Wyoming next year with whoever is his boyfriend at the time (I think magician David Blaine would be an interesting choice or newly out basketball player John Amaechi), as an HOMAGE to "Brokeback Mountain". Of course, Kevin's camping trip will not be as SEVERE as Jake & Heath's trip. Kevin will bring silk pajamas, furry slippers, vibrating foot massage, cappuccino machine, satelite TV (in the luxury RV)....
Hope Schwarzeneggar got to meet the 2 California republicans in the cast! You should have shot a quickie scene of Schwarzenegger exiting McCallister's office! To insert into a future episode! What synergy!

You're the MAN, Art.
These are great blogs. Pics of Arnold visiting with the cast; last week we got rehearsal pics of Sally & Patricia's upcoming (cat?)fight...(the blog with Molly's cute little dog, because EVERYONE loves cute little dog pics!)
Dave gave us a few good blogs months ago. And Dan Silk tried his best. But YOU are DA MAN, Art!
By the way: On the previous thread there's a post by a woman ("jessica") who's 15-year-old son came out. And they watch B&S together; the kid has the parent's "complete support & unconditional love".
WOW. This is how the show helps change individual lives (in its modest way). And fosters acceptance.
And that poster is like a drink of cool clean water after all the posters who used to come here to spew their petty little hate.

Art, excellent job on the blogs. Truly my favorite show blog, by far. Looking forward to the next episode and blog.

Love these latest photos and yes, it would be fun to have Arnold do a cameo with his friend Rob!
That last photo of Rob and Calista looking all loved up is gorgeous; I'm hoping to see more of that on the show, please.
And I'm impressed that the show budget runs to Cezanne paintings (hee). No expense spared!
Best wishes as always.
