“Valentine’s Day Massacre episode” = Discriminator Terminator ?
. . . well, ‘twould be nice, but doubtful that it was THAT easy for us.

Pre-post entry to “Love is Difficult” (is it really or is it just difficult when you don’t love yourself fully?) . . .

HEAR YE! HEAR YE! Unless there is some latent and unarticulate lurker out there, I would like to make note that we had no “closet homosexual discriminator” comment after the episode “Valentine’s Day Massacre”. WHAT?! REALLY? Correct me, if I need correcting.

The only hands-on that we saw was Chad affectionately stroke Kevin’s shoulder in full view of what Chad knew was a blind date for his half of a dual-love-Chad-life, Kevin. The closet half being Kevin and the not-closet half being Michelle. Do you think Chad spent the night with Michelle? Hmm . . .let me ponder this for one second. . . YES! Well, he might deny it this week – isn’t it bad enough that he squeezed Kevin back in the closet while clinging to the mirage of a heterosexual-relationship-image, then he requires Kevin to be faithful to him.

Looking forward to this week’s opus with Kevin and Chad after reading Robbie’s preview comments about the book-in-the-bookstore hunt.

Still carrying a torch,

Rumor has it ABC is going to show repeats of the show for a month after the March 4th episode airs.

Tell me there's no truth to this rumor!

SDGuy

hey i cant wait for tonites episode, i am pumped. i really want to see what happens with kevin and chad, i love kevin by the way. keep up the great show. oh does anyone know if there will be a new episode next week also, and if so how many more this season.. i dont want it to end.thanks

Tolly

I am tired of seeing gay guys kiss. Turns my stomach. I will stop watching this great show if you continue to show the gays kissing.

Concerned viewer

There are several people who watch the show Brothers and Sisters and we really resent the fact that you have to have homosexuals on such a good show. Can't we just have one "straight" show on T.V.

Robbie's blog provided real insight into the character that is Chad. Thanks, Robbie! Great episode!

You can wrap a wholesale diamond in a Tiffany box...that doesn't make it the diamond Tiffany.

Not sure where to put these comments, but just got finished watching this week's episode - this is a GREAT show! i'm emotionally drawn in each episode and a little less of sally on the show has been good. love the story line with the gay brother and the senator with kitty.
great job - keep this show going!!!

As usual, great episode you people! Baitz & Newman really brought home a real winner, especially coming from Rachel's performance as Sarah. I was just crying with her as she was relating her fears and pains at the counseling. Can someone just give her her Emmy already for this role?

Even though I don't like the character of Chad, I did enjoy that Jason Lewis is reading our thoughts and writings because his kiss in today's episode had more passion than his previous 2. I was a bit shocked and amazed. It seemed less nervous and more natural. Good job to whomever passed on our messages to him. He needed to hear it from us and we needed to see the sparks fly to make it believable that Chad is in love with Kevin.

I'm still a Kevin/Scotty shipper and I'm counting the days you'll bring back Luke MacFarlane as Scotty. :) :) :)

Anyway, I love the rest of the cast. THANK YOU for giving more lines to Balthazar's Tommy. It's great to see him get a juicier and heftier role out of this. And also THANK YOU for utilizing Sarah Jane Morris' Julia... You guys really need to use her more often. She is sorely missed.

And Emily Vancamp...what can I say. She is gorgeous and she fits right in with the Walkers and as Holly Harper's daughter.

great episode tonight and outstanding rachel griffiths......so talentuous.....she needs more screen time and deserves an emmy.....

thanks for this show

Becky Goodrich

I'm sick of watching the man on man/woman on woman action on prime time....
If the writers can't come up with less homosexual scenes, I'm gone. I'm disapointed in Sally Field and the other major actors, for continuously slapping us with this type of story line. WE GET IT, but do we have to watch it week after week?
Not me any longer.

Cady

I'm hanging in because I think all the actors of this show are excellent and the scripts are interesting and well written. BUT.......am I the only one to really complain about the politics? I don't like involving Calista in politics and don't think it suits her well. She is such a great actress, couldn't you find something else to have her do? When I see an episode will be heavy on the politics I go to another program. The whole show moves along so beautifully until it goes to Kitty's work involvements and then it screeches to a halt. I can't even get interested in Rob Lowe because of it.

Bella

Please, go easy on gay lovemaking. I like the show but too much of gay kissing etc.turns me and every one i know off.

tiredoflooking

I just want to say that I thought this program was well written and well acted until I had to endure yet another gay kissing scene. Won't be watching, and probably won't matter to you all. Move forward with your agenda with 4 less viewers in my house.

I like the show and don't mind the gay storyline but if you continue to show two men kissing I'm done.

Lori

I love this show! This is one that I look forward to spending time with my husband watching together! It has a lot of "realness" in it which is great! However, I am having trouble watching the gay scenes in this show! I know we have gays in the real world, but airing their acts to the public is really getting too much! I feel you will have just as wonderful if not better reviews by cutting this character down to just his association w/the family and his court practices.

*sigh* Another lovely episode. And dammit if I'm not right there in that club with Kevin and Michelle, being sucked in by Chad and his "I can't help it! Can't you see I'm in pain here, too?" and his gorgeous puppy dog eyes. Kev TRIED to be strong, and he DID say "I hate you," which is exactly what I would have said before I jumped Chad's bones. Gah, I love Kevin. *sigh*

For those asking for more of Sarah and Tommy...you got it with this one, huh?

So much to love about this show. I have no complaints. It was beautiful all the way around. Thank you, once again, writers, producers, directors, actors, etc.

brendat

such a great episode - love that tommy is finally getting some play - he is most underused, i think, but then how to decide when you have this cast who to write for? also glad to see william in episodes - he has some 'splaining to do, and i love that the writers are taking their time in showing us every layer to this show - makes it more compelling - again, the music choices are dead on, and kevin and chad most riveting - can't wait til next time.

Although iv never seen one watching this Kevin/Chad storyline unravel is I presume what watching a train wreck would look like, appalled and amazed at the carnage though I am I simply cant stop watching. "Chit" (Thats not mine I got it from KC`s LM group.) is like a black hole sucking any sort of reason and common sense out of our hero, whats happened to Kevin? is he desperate for love? (Im not really buying this reason, but I ll go along with it) or just weirdly pathetic (maybe or maybe he just needs his love life to be a drama). Anyway I sense nothing but tragedy and heartache coming Kevins way and im strangly enjoying it, it cant be said enough that Kevin is the centre of the B&S universe but he needs to be brought back to reality with as big and traumatic a bump as YOU can give him. Iv been seeing everywhere today that the latest kiss was as hot as these things get, I didnt think so I was just appaled at how far of the deep end Kevin has actually gone, very unpleasant, but Jason is very good as this dark and coniving manipulator, kudos sir.

Scott

Robbie and Molly,

Bravo. "Love is Difficult" was such a beautiful episode. All the actors received challenging material, but this was Rachel's showcase--and she knocked it out of the park. The anguish and rawness of the therapy scenes were so well done. I'll admit that I teared up more than once.

Tommy's need to stand out on his own was also deeply moving. The flashbacks (always nice to see Skerritt return) effectively established the number William did on Tommy's self-esteem by publicly elevating Sarah at her little brother's expense. Although his choice of business partner leaves something to be desired (gee, I can't think Nora will be too happy to hear of this), I totally understood where Tommy was coming from.

Thank you also to adding considerable depth to the Kevin/Chad relationship. I enjoyed Kevin standing his ground and expressing his reservations, but ultimately giving Chad a chance to demonstrate his sincerity that he was changing. The poetry exchange was great. And the kiss? Wow!

Last, I loved how you moved the stories of all the characters forward, evne those who weren't the focal point of the episode. Justin's referencing Tyler and Nora's rediscovery of her interest in writing were wonderful touches in an altogether rich episode.

I really cannot wait for the next new episode.

Robin Fletcher

From the underdog to the superstar: It just gets better and better each and every week. This show will be one for the history books. But can the Rob Lowe for President storyline--it does not work and diminishes the realism of this otherwise perfect drama series; just leave him a senator and sinner, and let Kitty go back to Warren and the Red and Blue chairs. I just discovered this show this weekend and I've watched a number of the episodes online, excerpts from all the episodes, and I saw the most recent one when it ran on Sunday night. Here's my assessment: It's Arrested Development with a swimming pool. And not nearly as good.

Stephanie

I have to confess the only reason I started watching this show was because I had heard that Emily VanCamp had the chance to be on it. As soon as I heard she was going to join the cast I started watching it, and now I can't miss an episode. I was obessed with Everwood and I am so happy Emily is back on tv again. Love her! Also, one of my other favorite shows was Alias and there are a lot of people from Alias that are on the show. Much love to the producers, writers, creator everybody who gave all my favorite actors another show to shine on. Keep up the good work!

Stephanie

Hey SDGuy if you are from South Dakota and I have a feeling you are, get over yourself. I live in South Dakota and I can't believe how conservative the state is. We all need to learn to accept people as they are and accept who they want to be. Its a new generation and one that does accept homosexuality and whatever show you watch nowadays will contain it. I hope this one factor doesn't take you away from a great show.

geewhiz

I love, love, love this show. In a sea of reality TV and unappealing plot lines I thank you for not "dumbing down" television!

The music on the show is amazing and I wondered if you guys had thought about posting the music from the shows along with the episode guide? Just a suggestion because I think a lot of people would be interested.

Thanks so much for the incredible show! Keep it up!
