Words From the Paige - A Normal Day in the Life of Kerris
Today it's my honor to introduce our first talent blog -- a piece by the charming and very well-mannered Kerris Lilla Dorsey, AKA Paige Walker. Enjoy!
First, I go to school, sometimes with Max. At school I learn science, cursive, and math, etc. My favorite subjects are math, reading, and spelling. My two favorite books are How to Be A Pirate and How to Speak Dragonese, both by Credessa Cowell. The hardest word I know how to spell is “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." My favorite games to play at school are Set and Mad Libs.

After that, I get dressed into my wardrobe. Then I go into Hair, then Make-up. They just put chapstick on me, so it doesn’t take very long! Until they tell me to go on, I sit and read my lines. If I don’t have any lines, I sit and read a good book. I usually work about an hour, and then I go back up to school. Everyone is really nice. Maxwell is sort of like a real little brother. It’s funny, Maxwell and I crack up in between takes sometimes. Maxwell sometimes does really funny things and it makes me laugh really hard. At the end of the day, I have to leave and I’m sad, but I know I’m going back again soon!

Aww, thanks for sharing that Kerris. You're quite possibly the most adorable thing there ever was.
Best,
Gavin

I need to say this one last time than shut up the hell up: To those nice folks taking the time to blog in about being "upset" and "offended" at the sight of two strapping men kissing....in the KINDEST way possible, GET OVER YOURSELVES. IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU! I'm in my mid-'30's & ALL MY LIFE I've wanted visual representations of gay life & characters that B&S (& other TV shows now thank god) are providing. I've dealt with a constant barrage of male-female representations, & nothing for myself. If you can't open up your heart & mind to the dreams of others, MOVE ON, SWITCH STATIONS. It's best all around. It's folks like you who complain to advertisers & take us all BACKWARDS in this slow journey to equality. Please keep your hatred-prejudice in check! I'm not thrilled with the lowbrow scripts coming out of B&S lately, but at least they're FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT! B&S, don't get hoodwinked by these knuckleheads. They're the same people who've kept jews, blacks & latinos down in the past. Just different packaging....

Hello Kerris!
I'm glad to see you enjoy reading. Have you read "The Paper Bag Princess" by Robert N. Munsch? I think you'd like it. I have copies in three different languages: English,Spanish, and Welsh. Yep, it's that good.
Enjoy each day and keep laughing!
Best Wishes,
Jude

Thank-you, thank-you thank-you for that.
Kerris...you are my favorite character on the entire show. For about 4 months now I have been working on a fansite for you, and it will be up soon.
You are such a talented, beautiful little girl, and this totally made my day. Keep doing what you love, and making everyone around you smile.
Give Justine a hug for me too!
I'll post a link to the site here when it's up :)

I know I promised to shut up, but looking over viewer blogs....here's a quick sampling of the STIR a simple kiss between consenting adults can provoke:
"If I see one more homosexual mouth to mouth scene, this show will get cut from my viewing list IMMEDIATELY."........JIM
"We get the idea without it being shoved down our throats."..........JOAN
"It seems to be more and more gay things. If this trend continues I am going to go elsewhere on Sunday nights.".........JOHN
"It made my stomach churn to the point I turned the show off.".............KATHY
Homophobia is alive & well. Kicking & screaming. A society has to go through ugliness like this to progress. When we're sick with the flu, we must allow time to sweat the virus out. The above quotes are viruses that are slowly working themselves out of the body politic.

Imagine no possesions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
In a brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Dear Paige,
Good for you for liking math, reading and spelling. Three great subjects.
I think you are very natural as an actress. I enjoy watching you hold your own with all the great adult actresses and actors on my favorite TV show, BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
Love your TV brother, Cooper, also. Would you tell him for me?
Here, I am known as the nickname,
ilovemylife

Kerris,
I am sorry that I called you by your TV name, Paige, on an earlier posting.
It was my mistake.

Go to your average Starbucks & take a look at the guys: computer geeks, business men, straight men drinking vanilla double cappucinos (light on foam), buff guys, nerdy guys, guys reading the morning paper. I was stuck by the VARIETY of men our boy Kevin could be dating...(Guess where I was having a latte this morning...?) So far soap-opera guy can be summed up in 2 words: hot & superficial. Superficial, if it continues (one episode is fine), will not keep Kevin coming back (& will make straight fans & gay fans irritable). This dude better show a little DEPTH or honesty or hidden emotion or SOMETHING (since apparently his role has been extended from 3 to 7 episodes - did I get that right?) Hot alone doesn't cut it. I must say, for every person blogging about "2 guys kissing!" & the horror, there's all these chicks coming out of the woodwork who like man-on-man action as much as the (gay) dudes. This is a little-covered phenominon in todays news. I'm glad to see it happening on this blog.

Hey Kerris, your such a sweetheart!! You do such a good job on the show. Keep up the good work!! I'm glad you like math. We need more little girls like you to study math. The sky's the limit for you, sweeheart!

Kerris is a fabulous model for a tolerant new generation. You KNOW this little girl is not going to grow up with the irrational fears about others we see posted occasionally on this blog, handed down from previous generations. She is in a tolerant, nurturing, supportive, creative atmosphere where sexual, racial & gender identities are simply NOT issues. This should be a blueprint! Politicians LOVE, get a lot of mileage talking about the "bankruptcy" of Hollywood values, but kids in other parts of the country should be so lucky to have her values.

What a cutie pie!! Thanks for letting us in on your day-on-the-set, Kerris. Sounds like you enjoy what you do, and I LOVE that you're a reader. You picked a very good author to like, too. She has such a way with words and storytelling! I love your scenes with Rachel. You two are too cute together!

Dear Kerris,
I just watched the 2nd episode again - the one called "An Act of Will". And I just had to come here and write to you. This is the one that you sing your Hawaii song for your entire family. I was the music teacher for thousands of children for many years, including children of your age. And I just wanted to tell you that you have a beautiful, sweet and clear singing voice. Keep singing.
Fondly : )
