New Episode Sunday -- "Sexual Politics"

Hello there friends.

A fabulous NEW episode this Sunday, expertly wrought by new writers Monica Owusu-Breen and Alison Schapker and directed by Sandy Smolan.

Obsessors over Kevin's love life will have plenty to chew on this weekend, as our wry and charming lawyer meets the ultimate match for his romantic dysfunction. In other news, Kitty fears that her coworkers in the Senator's office suspect romantic coupling... and this not entirely baseless fear drives her to the most desperate of measures: an executive matchmaker.

As I said, plenty to chew on... so whatever you consume over the weekend, leave room for Sunday at 10pm on your favorite couch.

Faithfully,
Dan

Loose Change: Most of the Master Cleansers, or as I like to call them, the Delusionals, have fallen. Only the mighty remain: David Marshall Grant, Gladys, and Carl.

So if Carl is doing the Master Cleanse does he get to take watery revenge out on his psycho cat?

Really looking forward to the new ep on Sunday; thanks for the appeteaser, Dan!

Can't wait till Sunday! It can't come soon enough.

Wait. The mighty Berlanti has fallen?

I knew Greg Berlanti wouldn't be able to last on that stuff. You need a stomach made out of iron to able to stomach it for so long.

I'm amazed the other 3 are still going after it. Who will be the ultimate winner?

Anyone taking bets at the production now? What are the odds?

I vote for David! Go David! :)

Well, here it is - Sunday at 1:30pm ET. I'm anxiously awaiting 10:00pm when my favorite show (you guessed it) Brothers and Sisters comes on.

Pretty pathetic, huh? Do I need a life or what?

I hope Will has his "hand lotion" ready!

Thank you for putting the episodes on-line.I watched them ALL and am a fan.Wonderful show!GREAT cast and fantastic writing.

There used to be a day when gay characters shown on television got treated like a social problem in need of "address": Like in vitro fertilization, bullemia, turrets, spousal abuse or bird flu.
Thanks for not turning Kevin into a "cause celebre" du jour. Looking forward to tonight's episode....it's TV, sure, but give me ART & crafted scripts....must remember to pick up micro popcorn or Ben & Jerry's (not to be insensitive to those on "the cleanse").

best show on tv!

Don't create another Ally McBeal, please. I loved this show and now it's so close to being ruined. Ally McBeal and West Wing had their time...

Listening to Rob Lowe and Calista be cutesy is like nails on a chalk board.

More Patricia Wettig, and the youngest son stories and leave the crap to that What about Brian thing.

Thanks!

Tonight was last time to watch! My brother is gay but I'll be darned if I want to watch two gays kiss, male or female! Stop trying to shove that stuff down our throats!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Homosexuality needs to be normalized, and you are a champion for the next frontier of human rights!!

Just finished watching the January 14th episode and I know all of you wonderful writers are working on future episodes but let me just throw one faithful viewer's thoughts your way. It's nice to see such a well-written gay character like Kevin on the show but why did you have to cut him off at the knees in tonight's episode? What a ridiculous idea of having Kevin become so desperate for a relationship that he would start dating a sexually confused piece of eye candy. You all have completely undermined the intelligenceof this character. While there may be many gay men who would jump at the chance to be emotionally manipulated by a guy who wants it both ways, and are plenty of gay men who would run in the other direction by such a situation. Most gay men are highly irritated by these kinds of guys (myself included) and just when I thought you had Kevin reacting the same way, he becomes this drippy, moony 15 year old.And let's just throw him in bed with the guy too. Whatever... Stupid....particularly when you all had already established this character with a little bit more emotional integrity Knock it off guys...Bad move. I mean Kevin obviously is not a gay role model, but if you are going to write these characters into yur show I'm sure you have to think about the kind of impact it makes on us. But I am sure you fantastic writers are way ahead of me already.

Question... is the young woman who played Kevin's friend at the gym's girlfriend (last scene) the daughter of Patricia Wettig & Ken Olin? She really looked like Ms. Wettig. (With darker coloring though.)By the way, LOVE this show!

Call me old fashioned or prejudiced. Whatever. I just know what I enjoy watching and that is NOT Gay men kissing. I will have to exercise my right to turn the show off if it continues. Too bad, as it is otherwise so good.

This is the second time I have watched this show and must I say that it's HOT! I am a bisexual woman who can't stand gay porn or "pornographic scenes" but may I saw that those two on top of the city kissing... WOW! was that HOT!... Am I alone in this?

Jeffrey: Lighten up.
Bev: I'll call you old-fashioned AND prejudiced. And am I mistaken, or do you (or someone else called "Bev") complain about men kissing every week or so and say you're not going to watch anymore? So,why are you still watching (and complaining)? You should know what's up by now!
P.S. I loved tonight's episode!

Great episode as always. Glad to see Kevin having another romance, even if it is a more closeted case than he is. I love the dynamic between Senator McAllister and Kitty. Great to see those sparks fly all around. Surprised to see Joe Whedon and Julia Walker get more extended meatier scenes. Thank you for not making them just auxiliary regulars. They're stil very integral to this family. Also, very happy to see Tommy & Julia get some loving going on. It's far missed.

Btw, thank you former-Alias writers. Wonderful job. I applaud you in bring another terrific episode to the table. :)

The show is good other than the gay content. Two men kissing is too much. You're pushing it. We're not watching the show anymore and hope it's taken off of the air.

"Call me old fashioned or prejudiced. "

Alright. I will.

I don't know if it's old fashioned or what, Bev, but your reaction IS a bit extreme. Do you like 100% of every show you watch? If you don't like to see two men kissing, then hop up and take a bathroom break, or refresh your drink or something! It would be a shame for you to completely miss such a fantastic show just because of a few seconds you don't care for.

Call me whatever you want to call me, but I, personally, think watching two gorgeous men kissing is totally HOT. Whew. My husband (I am female) totally benefitted from the feelings Kevin and Chad stirred in me last night. IfyaknowwhatImean. ;)

That being said...yeah, I don't like Chad, the character, much at all. But I don't think we're supposed to. Dan said in this blog, that Kevin meets "the ultimate match for his romantic dysfunction" and I think that is a perfect description of Chad! As smart as Kevin is, we've seen so far that he has some pretty big hangups of his own he needs to work through. He's not ready for someone who has his sh*t together. So if he can have some hot boyfriends and maybe learn a few lessons along the way, then GO FOR IT, Kevin!!!!

GREAT SHOW! THANK YOU!

I strongly agree with previous post! The homo scenes are waaaay too liberal and offensive. I think the cast and script are great and have enjoyed the show. But I, too, will be forced to tune elsewhere if it continues. (Hopefully this will matter to the producers)

If I did ot know better I would think you are trying to say that ALL intelligent gay men would jump at any opportunity to have casual sex with virtual strangers. Like the military fellow in the bar scene in the desert and again with the "dude" from the gym. The "in your face" gay sexuality is going to ruin the show! Especially when it is so promiscous.

Where was Justin? Please don't leave him out of another episode!

Stellar episode! So many well written scenes and truthfully acted moments. And that kiss...HOT!!! I can't wait to watch it again.

please, please don't ruin this good show by too many gay love scenes. What are you doing to Kevin, he has turned into a stereotype and that was not him when you started. I agree with poster David. Maybe you should take his advise.

Also, I thought the girlfriend of Kevin's date looked alot like Patricia Wettig. is she the daughter of Ken & Patricia?
