Save Dave

The stakes at the People's Choice Awards just got ratcheted up a notch.

Following a characteristic debacle at Starbucks, Dave the PA so angered B&S creator Robbie Baitz with his disgruntled response -- "Well, if you want a double latte so bad, why don't you just CREATE one?" -- that our titular leader decreed the following:

"If we don't win the Best New Drama award, I'm sending you back to Tucson!"

So please, PLEASE help us keep this Hollywood icon on the blog!

Well, I've voted everyday, but who knows how many millions don't even know this show's on the air. With absolutely no promotion, ABC seems determined to keep B&S the best kept secret on their network.

I have to say, I kindof agree with the lack of promotions. I have been checking my favourite talk shows each week to see if anyone is on them and I haven't seen a thing! Why aren't these stars of this great show on talk shows?

Voting. And please tell us what VP in charge we can blog (crash mailboxes!) regarding getting some DECENT PROMOTION for new Dec.10th show. REALLY> Not just blogging for my typing health here! So few shows worth supporting these days. I will watch next weeks Grey's and this weeks DH and B&S repeat. Want to see strong promo SUPPORT from ABC brass for top-Neilsen-rated new show! Or heads will roll!! (How can we make heads roll?) Congrads on the PC nom, but what is really important next is the Golden Globe nom. How are these decided? Can we e-mail/blog/lobby someone? Flood the Hollywood Foreign Press membership with B&S "for you consideration" DVDs? Jeez, I haven't been so worked up politically since the anti-Bush congressional elections! Give us a positive way to make a difference.

Of course I'll vote for 'B&S' (not because of idlea threats, but 'cause of the show's considerable merits), but I think JRB knows that the on-line community would be up-in-arms if Dave was fired. JRB is, quite frankly, a genius. But firing a P.A.? You need to be Stoppard, or Shanley. That's about it.

Snow, Michelle? (I'm a CA dweller) Isn't that the non-biodegadeable stuff we spray on our plastic X-mas trees? The Spelling's have a house (mansion) in Holmby Hills and would import 3 tons of snow for Tori's X-mas party. So actually I did see snow once.

I'm voting again (and again) not only because I love this show, but omigawd - putting Dave back on the streets of Tucson...why punish us desert dwellers? Don't we pay enough penance for this gorgeous winter weather during summer? [BTW, didn't I see you working the corner of Oracle and Miracle Mile with a "Will Work For Imported Beer on Draft" sign last April, Dave?]

How can we get the actors on Leno or Letterman? I'd love to see Batty, Matthew, John, and Dave, not just Calista, Rachel or Sally. Good luck with the award noms; you deserve far more recognition, that's for sure.

every week praising Brothers and Sisters, I've been emailing Oprah's website, begging her to have the creators, cast, etc on her show......you get the idea....

Give us some guidance here. Make us useful. Some of us are so willing to lobby for this show we simply love. We are willing to be Bro and Sis cheerleaders, so we can have Our Show.

So, you got my vote. Which you would have gotten anyway, but for Dave, my favourite disgruntled PA after only the sadly fictional Evil Marc on Ugly Betty, I will totally cheat and vote twice. Or maybe thrice. But no more than that as I'm pretty sure foice isn't a word.

I love, love, love this show...it's the most entertaining show I've seen in a long time. Please don't keep it a secret. ABC really needs to step it up with promoting this show like they were doing for Daybreak.

Dude, wish I would have found this earlier...would have voted for you guys. This show is amazing, the writing and acting is so damn believable. I saw "Kevin" at LAX just before Christmas, wanted to tell him how great the show was....but didn't want to be one of "those people" in public. So I passed. Seriously, hope this show continues. Any roles open, let me know, would love to be a Walker cousin!
