I've read every single blog but this is my first time posting and I just want to let you guys know that I love the show (definately my favorite new show this season and my 2nd favorite after Grey's Anatomy) and I can't wait to see Light the Lights.

Congrads on the People's Choice nom! Many people have blogged here their concerns regarding a lack of promotion for B&S in the past weeks. We've noted ENDLESS promos for "Daybreak" (so many my eyes glazed over) which only has about half the B&S ratings. NOW, apparently, all the support is behind another ABC newcomer, "Big Day" (which is fine, no complaints). However, in the past 2 weeks I can remember seeing one sole promo for B&S (during the Grey's timeslot, I think). Maybe I'm not tuned in at the right time? My bad? I watch a fair amount of ABC primetime (3 or 4 shows a week). You have an amazing show on your hands, and for the sake of present viewers and future fans, it's time to have a slight change of course. ABC execs, LISTEN UP: New strategy. For 2 weeks, flood the ABC prime timeslots with the following B&S promos: 1st, showcase Sally Fields and Rob Lowe. They're practically national icons at this point, in terms of TV likeability. Display shots of them over contemporary music (John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change" would work out fine - thematically perfect). A dramatic moment for Sally (crying over Justin's impending Iraq departure?) and Rob Lowe smiling, being sexy/charming/goofy, all in senatorial character. DO NOT SHY AWAY FROM CONTROVERSY. If you have Kevin involved with a new boyfriend in the next couple shows, use it! Show it. Let them even kiss during the promo! I don't think middle America will devolve into some kind of gay panic. If they freak, they can change the channel. Re: Justin and the war, don't shy away! It's an issue that's involving and topical...use it! These are your beautiful characters - OWN THEM, be proud. It's why we tune in. Too many B&S promos are put together to AVOID controversial territory, avoiding the very things we admire you for. Promos come off pretty... and bland..like a Sally Fields BONIVA commercial, in fact. We love you for risks and boldness. Capsulize in 30 seconds why we tune in week after week. Remember: there is NOTHING about the more controversial aspects of the show that is in "bad taste". If people think it's "bad taste" to show a conservative questioning mistakes from a war gone horribly wrong, or get uptight seeing two guys kissing...let them switch stations, they're not your audience anyway. Let them find their entertainment elsewhere. My point: Be proud of who you are - audiences respect that. In promos, show it like you mean it. Remind ME, an avid viewer, why I need to tune in again next week. All the phantasmagoria of family strife, sibling rivalry, sibling affection, love, friendship and lifeforce that is Brothers and Sisters. There are people all over this country - hungering for substance! - right now, unaware of what they're missing. So show it. Own it. Be it. (Build these promos and they will come...) Just a thought.

Congratulations and I'm passing the link to vote along to my friends.
Sure did miss the siblings this week, but I'm looking forward to the 10th.

I plan to vote everyday. You guys deserve to win. The other two shows nominated alongside yours are both very good and worthy shows, but nowhere near as special as Brothers & Sisters.

I just want to say I was immediately addicted to this family and this show. I am obsessed with Grey's Anatomy as most people are, but it took a few shows to get me hooked, unlike this show which had me from the start. I actually find myself upset when the show is over and a little annoyed that I have to wait until next week for more...the previews always get me very excited!! The preview I saw last episode has me mad because it showed the dumb blonde he was sleeping with and I'm not a fan of homewrecking cheap women! I just don't understand why she wasn't more thoroughly put in her place and tossed out on the street...the family was way too polite!! But, I just wanted to thank you for this show, the cast is wonderful and I look forward to Sundays very much!

I asked a girl in our office if she'd ever heard of "Big Day" ("Yeah, it was on last night!", she told me). "Day Break"? ("This guy wakes up every morning to the same day...it's not deju vu exactly...", she says - apparently she's seen most episodes)."Show Me the Money"? ("Oh! William Shatner!...") This is a girl who eats and breathes pop culture. I have seen her at lunchtime spending an entire hour DEVOURING People magazine or checking out lastest on youtube. "Brothers and Sisters"? (LONG PAUSE..."Ummm...I think.. isn't that...?) She THINKS she MAY have seen a promo, somewhere, couldn't name a castmember, never saw an episode. This says something major about promo department. Has ABC given any satisfactory explanation to B&S being dissed & neglected?

Well, what are you waiting for then, Will! Give her your copies of B&S and start turning her into a fan! :) The way B&S works is mainly by word of mouth advertisement over commercials. So the more we share and tell others to watch, we can make other people into fans of the show! :)
