Hello Treehuggers, from Jenny Bicks
Hey Treehuggers—
If you are reading this, that means our strike is over and I can finally blog again! It is a pleasure to be back in your midst, and let me just say that it is not lost on any of our cast, crew or writers how fervent and loyal you guys are. This tree for life program is just perfect and trust me, we have been adding a few trees into your forest.
I hate reading any fear about cancellation for our little show. We are not doing more episodes this year because we have enough to finish out the season. And yes, ABC picked up some shows early, but that doesn’t mean they won’t pick us up come May. Which is where all of you come in. When you’re not selling trees (when is that, exactly??) please tell your friends, your family, strangers…to watch us when we start airing again on February 27th at 10 pm. We need eyeballs. And you guys have ‘em!
In case you’re wondering, the Men In Trees family stayed busy over the strike by having pot luck dinners. Seana (Jane) Kofoed makes a mean chili, by the way. Scott (Cash) Elrod is hosting the next one in honor of our “re-premiere” so stay tuned for news from that soiree. And by “news” I do not mean secret photos taken of Scott’s bedroom. Shame on your dirty little minds.
Okay, so once we are back on the air, we will be back to posting a weekly blog. Come back and visit here soon and keep fighting!
Jenny

You know I was thinking...We really wouldn't mind if by "news" you meant secret photos taken of Scott's bedroom. Seriously, we will just have to accept it if you did mean it. After all, sometimes sacrifices have to be made. And I'm more than willing to make them. :P

Jenny - So glad you are back - hope it was favorable for the writers. Counting the days to 2/27. Posted it on our bulletin where I work! Haven't liked a show this much since Moonlighting!

During the day of Feb. 26 & 27, let's post on dozens of popular message boards a short MIT description, praise for the show and an announcement of the new start date. Blogs like Boing Boing, Digg, TMZ and 100s of others. Some have enormous populations.
Here's a link to some big blog sites:

Some of these blogs wouldn't be appropriate, but many are. Let's hit the big sites plus everybody's fave message boards and blogs. Let's take this viral.

~~~Hey Jenny!
I have a bottle of M&C chilling in the fridge...We will pop it while watching the show on
the 27th!
So happy the *settlement*
came in time for the Oscars.
Will Anne be there?
All the best,
KT
I am telling everyone - again - to watch MIT. But exactly HOW do networks estimate how many are watching. Is this like the crazy statatistics and probabaility stuff I studied in college? I mean - there could be a million or more of us watching out there, but how the heck do they really know if they are only tapping mainstream NASCAR-watching dudes. They never poll the fringe, which could be a considerable group!
YIPPEEE!!! We've all been on the edge of our seats waiting on the strike to be over. I do hope that you are all pleased with the results. You work your tails off, and this show is amazing! Does that also mean DVD's of Season One are on the way? :)
Do tell the Elmoians hello and tell Scott it's 65 in Denver :)
Can't wait to see if Marin gets her chance to rescue Jack...make it soon...we miss them being together!
We bought one of the D-TV boxes that change a TV’s analog signal to a digital signal. For about a week Life was Excellent … then we had a wind storm and, poof, ABC is gone: no signal.
Now, the funny thing about losing ABC’s signal is = the local tower is right on down the road from us about a mile and half. Neither of us remembers any new buildings or trees or mountains going up in the last week to block the signal. Before the wind storm, we did notice airplane and helicopter traffic would cause the picture to pixilate all over the place … but to lose an entire station?
Anyway, the long and short of it is: we can no longer watch MIT on television. We're hoping we can watch via the internet: fingers crossed.
When the ratings come in each week, mark us down as watching - because we would if we could.
Thanks for the update. Can you tell us how many episodes are left (since you won't be making more this year)?
Thanks!
Welcome Back and Thank you Jenny :) I can not wait till the 27th...
If there were plenty of episodes left before the strike, why didn't they air them?? Why make us wait? It makes no sense.
Thank God! I was about to give up hope of ever seeing a conclusion to Jack out on the water!!! I'll be waiting with baited breath on the 27th for the show to get rolling again! It'll be soooo nice to have my show back!
I am so excited about Men In Trees returning to the air! I'll be fighting with my boyfriend to watch this over Project Runway... I'm sure that I will win!
I believe that if ABC promotes the show, they will have no reason to not pick up Men in Trees...
It is one of my favorites!
Hello, Thank you so meuch for letting us know! I just have one ? for you.Do you think abc will cancel my most favorite show in the whole wide world for good? They yanked it 2 times now. Thats scary!..This show is different then what has been airing over last few years. No murders to solve no one to sew back together. I luv this. Its like real life. And some of its is like who I wish I was..These people are honest fun loving people in this show.And its something everyone needs.And a good laugh.
