Is It October Yet?
Well, Felmoians, we have been hard at work shooting again in Vancouver. The weather has cooperated and it is great to see the cast again. Of course it hasn’t all been hard work as an oddly large batch of us are Leos, which means many interruptions of hard work for birthday cake over the last month…Lauren (Mai), James (Jack), Cynthia (Celia), Thom in the hair department, Ginger in the AD department, Padma Atluri in our writers’ room, and of course, me. So yeah, I happen to be partial to Leos. We also have a lot of Geminis, so last weekend Anne hosted a Geminis versus Leos softball game. I believe the Leos took the crown. Duh.
I wanted to answer a few questions that seem to be coming up a lot from you guys.
--The episode we are airing first comes BEFORE the last five we shot in Season One. You will see this new episode followed by the five shot. Okay? None of you in the States will be missing any episodes and I promise this first episode will make sense to you.
--Contrary to press reports, the character of Julia, played by Kelli Williams (not Martin, folks!) will NOT be a love interest for Jack. She will play a happily married scientist who works with Jack. They will bond, but this isn’t a love thing, okay? You will get some delicious Jack and Marin this season, I promise.
--DVDs. I have no control on a first season DVD. Trust me, I wish I did. This is decided by Warner Brothers, our studio. Maybe you want to send them a mess of raccoons and pressure them into releasing it??
Okay, keep writing and enjoy what is left of the summer…oh and Happy Birthday fellow Leos!
Jenny

I am so happy you will be back soon...I just love your show and am enjoying the reruns,but can't wait to see the new twists and turns with Jack, Cash and Marin. oh and I drink vodka and lemonade in the summer. You can do that on the deck while surfing with your laptop.

~~~Well Jenny...A Very Happy Birthday to all the *Leos* in Elmo!
I'm a Gemini who will be
celebrating my DH's b'day
with him this Wed.
I'm surprised you Leos beat the Gems at softball.
They did have *twice* as many players on their team!
However, you did have James on your team!!!
Just let us know where to send the emails & *snails*,
and the campaign will begin
to urge WB to release the 1st DVD.
I really hope you will be able to include some interviews like the ones on
the "Silver Bells" DVD.
Always great hearing from you...thanks for giving us
this very special *gem* on
regular network tv.
Fanne & Felmo,
KT
I'm going to show my age but for someone who still misses Northern Exposure, Men in Trees is wonderful. Different, of course, but wonderful in its own right. Thank goodness it got picked up for a second season. I was afraid it was too "quiet" a show for network TV. Thanks to ABC for renewing it. And thanks to all of you for wonderful story lines and acting.
Thank you for telling us that the new character will not be another "Lynn" interference. Can't wait for the new season!
Hey Jenny,
Leos are the best! (From one Leo to another.) I am glad the reruns are on but I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEW SEASON. My husband is even watching the reruns with me because he has missed the show. He never watches reruns. I sure hope everyone will tune in on Friday nights. I could not take it if the ratings went down and the "geniuses" at ABC cancelled the show. Especially after all they have put us Felmonians through! Thanks for the updates. I always look forward to hearing from you guys.
Hi Jenny-
Can you mention what time zone the new Friday 10 PM slot is for MIT?
Is this ET or CT or PMT?
thanks!
I am so glad that MIT is moving to 10:00. I sometimes have to work until 9:30 so that gives me time to get home and watch it. I am so looking forward to watching the new episodes. Thanks for coming back. I've missed you!
By the way I forgot to mention that I am a Leo as well. I am not surprised you guys won.
Thank you for putting our minds at ease over Jack's new friend.
Leos? My ex husband, my oldest daughter and my best friend. I'm a Scorpio. I'm not supposed to get along with Leos.
I'm counting the days!! Less than 2 months now.
From this Leo to all the others on MIT - Happy Birthday!!! I can't wait for the new season to begin and can't tell you how ecstatic I am that Kelli Williams will NOT become a problem for Jack and Marin. I just can't wait to see them together again and hopefully, Jane and Plow Guy, too!
The Leos may have won but I'm certain the Gems played with more STYLE!!Your blog is upbeat and it put me in a great mood. Thanks. Summer is winding down and I'm so anticipating the new MIT season although I am enjoying the re-runs. Gin and tonic ....classic and refreshing.
I am a Leo as well! I just wanted to say I am so relieved to hear that Kelli Williams will NOT be a love interest, I will now be able to fully enjoy her character without wishing her gone. Hee!
Happy Birthday to all the Leos out there. It's good to know you're all hard at work, but still having some fun.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for not having yet another love triangle. Believe me, the 'Lynn Thing' was quite enough. It's good to know we'll be getting some great Jack and Marin scenes. They're long overdue!
Thanks for keeping us all posted.
Hi MIT,
Glad to finally hear that "The show will go on", that is, your MIT!
At least we are getting reruns to hold us "Tree Huggers" over the rest of the summer.
Can't wait to see the new show.
Can't tell you how glad I am that Kelli Williams will NOT be a love interest for Jack. Can't wait for more Marin and Jack...and, of course, Cash!
What is wrong with the DVDs?! They will be coming out right?
Happy birthday to all the Leos!
(lets show more scenes where Jack is working on his kayak or something! That scene was hot!)
Thank the Lord!!! I can not wait for the new season. It has been so boring without MIT. I also need to know where to send the raccons for WB to release the 1st season on DVD. THANKS for all the wonderful updates..
OMG! here I am watching the 1st season all over again... They will probably show the new season by february next year =(
But honestly, I have so much fun with Marin and her tragedies that I can wait...But not much!
Thanks for the update Jenny; we love the show. Currently, the MIT website is saying that the regular schedule for this show will be Fridays at 9/8c. Living in the northeast, 9 is better than 8, but it would be much better at the 10 o'clock slot. There are just some scenes that are a bit too mature for children's ears. Any chance the 9/8c times could change?
You posted this on my birthday, so I am a Leo too. My husband (who is also a Leo) and I are HUGE fans of the show. We are very happy that you will be back on Friday nights, as that was our date night to watch you last year after our son went to bed. Go Jack!
I too am SOOOOOO happy MIT is back on!!! I'm enjoying the reruns and anxiously awaiting the new Season!! Friday nights sound great!! Looking forward to enjoying my Merlot wine and seeing my favorite "new family" in Elmo every week. I wish I was there too. I'd talk some sense into Jack (about letting Marin go)!!
I think that more people could catch the show if it was Thursday nights like it was at the "end" of the season. Regardless, the 9pm Central spot is perfect! I am so excited for the new season and I hope the reruns this summer hook loads more fans. We need more Felmoians! Best of luck, to you Jen and the rest of the cast, on your new season.
For us people in the states, we haven't seen these five episodes shot last season have we? They were shot last season but won't be seen until this season, correct? So it will be all new shows for us states people? I think it's weird that you can have a new premiere with already shot episodes. It will be interesting, can't wait to see it! I love MIT!!!
