Okay, here’s the deal… Another blog by Jenny Bicks

Oh, Felmoians. What a crazy month of scheduling (or non-scheduling) madness, huh? Thanks for all of your e-mails. We feel your pain. And share it. So here is the latest from the network’s mouth to my ear…we will absolutely be on the air starting in June with re-runs all summer. They have told me the night and time but I am going to wait a beat on telling you, as I have noticed that these schedules seem to morph in the blink of an eye. And I am losing all my credibility with you guys! I do trust the re-run part, which is great since many of you who fell in love on Thursday nights never got to see the first 8 episodes that aired on Fridays. So you can catch up over the summer and remember Elmo. So, that’s number one.

Number two; we remain picked-up for next season. Please do not worry about that. We will be on in the fall, with everyone else. Can’t tell you the night or time yet because they haven’t announced that yet (they announce May 15 in NYC). We will air our last 5 episodes first, so we will have 27 new episodes to show you next season. Less re-runs, more fattening! Yay! And in case you remain concerned, us not being on in May has nothing to do with these 5 episodes creatively. They rock. It has everything to do with ABC wanting to use Thursday nights to showcase new shows. I know, I know.

So my promise, as usual, is to come back here through out the next few weeks and months to fill you in on everything. As soon as I know anything, I will put it up here. We are recording a ton of podcasts that will go up on this blog continually so make sure you check back frequently.

A few other asides: I wish I could do something about putting more episodes on the web. I can’t. That is controlled by my studio, not me. Keep writing and e-mailing the network, they notice. The contact info is on the ABC web site. Happy Birthday, Emily Bergl! And how great is Jordin Sparks on American Idol?

I can't believe I have to wait several months to get the last 5 episodes! Men in Trees is the best show on ABC. What are they waiting for? June is too long to wait to get my MIT fix, but I will hang in there because I love the show.

Hi Jenny,
Thanks for your update on the schedule. I guess ABC doesn't tell you everything either. They certainly keep us viewers in the dark. Reruns starting in June will have to do for now until Season 2 begins. But I noticed ABC has nothing scheduled in the Thurs timeslot starting May 24th. It would be great if we can see one or two new episodes before the reruns start. Anyway, we can always hope that ABC will respond to all of the loyal Felmonians out there. I for one will continue to contact ABC and let them know what I think of their TV scheduling strategy.

Again, thanks for your sincere interest and support to the viewers, and keeping us informed during the hiatus period. Looking forward to your future updates.

PS: Do you know when filming of Season 2 will start? Will you be shooting in the Squamish area again?

you can't imagine how much we appreciate you keeping us informed....I do email ABC but I honestly feel they could care less what I think...I suggested they read TV Guide because they agree with us on the silliness of taking MIT off for the rest of the season....looks like the words "TV Guide" would give them a clue...I do love the podcasts, I love Jack and his voice, but Cash and that voice is not far behind....we are a nosy bunch and would love to know how you and the cast are spending your summer and when will you start taping again.....once again, thank you, I honestly feel like I am commenting to someone who cares and reads them....yes, I agree on Jordan Sparks, but last night Cion and Elvis were terrific.....how great was that!!!!

Thank-you for the update!! It might not be the exact news we wanted to hear, but the uncertainty was a tad annoying. Personally, I think ABC is making a big mistake by not putting you back on the air this season. However, if they give the show the support it deserves for both the reruns this summer and the new season in the autumn then I suppose it really is best for the show in the long run. I don't know anyone that is watching ABC at 10pm on Thursdays anymore, and, although I would follow the show to any night (or day), I'm sure that airing the remaining episodes on a different night during May would cause a large bleed in viewers.

Again, thank-you for the updates. I'm looking forward to the podcasts and anything else you are able to share with us while we wait for this fantastic show to start up again!

Every Thursday I check abc.com for the nights schedule and alas, no MIT. Ahhh, I so miss my Men. Can't wait for their return!!!! Too bad I have to wait until September!!!! And I've told SO many people about your show, I hope abc dosn't make a lier out of me. Thanks for the update.

Thanks, Jenny, for the update. I am upset that we don't get to see the new episodes but at least we can watch our favorite show again -- and maybe introduce it to new viewers. I've taken to looking at the photo gallery here to see my favorite people again. Can't wait for next fall!

So, the bottem line is... no remaining episodes (5)this season? That sucks! I am happy that we get to see re-runs over the summer, since the ABC web site only allows Americans to view on-line episodes. Any possibility of getting those 5 episodes this season shown???? Please??

So if I understand the plan we get to watch reruns starting in June - 17 of them until late Sept when the last 5 from this season air followed by 22 more. Jenny, thanks so much for keeping us so up to date. You're great (almost as great as Jordin!) and I really admire you for doing this for us and being so straight forward and up front. Thanks for the update, Jenny! I'm glad to hear that the show will at least be back in re-runs this summer but I can't say that I'm not sorely disappointed that we have to wait for those last five episodes. I re-watched the first episode online last week and remembered why I fell in love with the show. Hopefully not too many other people will forget while we wait for the return of MIT.

I am very excited that there will be reruns during the summer. This is
what is exspected in the summer. I tried to contact ABC they said they could not respond to all the email they recieved.
They said they could not satisfy everyone. I think that they are offending many of their viewers. They need to be concerned about who is watching the show. I wish we could to do more to regulate the shows that come on our T.V. I am glad that they will air the reruns. I guess this is good news.

This just sux! I wanted to see the end of the first season in May, not after the summer. I have seen all the past episodes, and have been patiently waiting for new stuff. I have been a loyal Felmo from the beginning (i.e. Friday nights). I absolutely hate ABC, and as much as I loved Men in Trees I feel like a fan that has been screwed!
