Now Jesse asks permission
Earlier Jason asked DeAnna's father for permission to ask DeAnna to marry him and now it's Jesse's turn. DeAnna's dad seemed more enthusiastic when Jason asked him the other day, and there's a loooong pause before he answers him. However, Mr. Pappas seems impressed with how earnest Jesse is and they end up doing a fist bump as well.
Jesse is psyched that he got to "nug" with Mr. Pappas and they share a hug.
One of the things I'm trying to keep in mind that Jason is 31 and is a little more polished, whereas Jesse is 26 - DeAnna's age - and comes from a different head space. I don't know if it's fair to compare Jason and Jesse as apples & apples.
Jason is far more refined than Jesse, who still is living his life as he was in the late teens. I hope that Deanna selects Jason, who I believe will offer a more stable, nuturing, adult relationship and life.

I feel sick to my stomache that she didn't pick Jason... They made such a good couple! It doesn't look nor feel right choosing Jesse. What was she thinking? Everything Deanna asked for was in Jason so why is she going the other way?

Jesse is a good ole boy and fun to be with but eventually the good times
will get old. Then what?
Jason on the other hand was very stable, very sincere and ready to settle down.
I think it is too hard on everyone both sides to pick down to the two. The show shoud stop a either 4 or 6.
It is just too heartbraking. I won't watch the show anymore.

i'm upset that all you who are making such negative comments about jesse weren't more obervant when they were showing de and jesse together. didn't you pay attention to who and what deanna liked? who did she have the most fun with on the four-wheelers? didn't you notice how much fun they had snow boarding together? didn't you hear deanna's sister-in-law saying that she liked jesse for de because de is such a free spirit? jesse made her laugh. jason was 'there' for her. unless, she has an overabiding reason that she needs someone to take care of her, i think most women want someone they can laugh with. my husband has kept me laughing for the last 35 years...

Jesse is 26 going on 16! I can't belive she picked a child who likes to "nug" and "blow it up!"
